The "bag thief" is obviously either drunk, has mental health issues or dementia. He looks so confused and his apologies appear sincere. To assume he's not a Royal Marine is a bit harsh after meeting him for the first time. He may have been one in the past and is suffering from PTSD.

The bald guy isn't all there, you could see it in his face and actions. He could have easily walked away with Brendan's bag. He had had plenty of time before Brendan noticed his bag was gone. So I don't think his intention was to steal. He genuinely thought it was his. He needs help not derision.

Dr K! Noooooo….. please……. Oh my goodness……… I was so worried that it could quickly escalate. Honestly, in this day and age, we really don’t know the trauma that people around us could be carrying. Better to be kind and alert, of course. 😢

Having had a parent with dementia I recognised the expression on his face. People with dementia do things like this without realising, they also regress in to thinking they are their younger self. He may genuinely have been sorry when he was saying it. You can clearly see the confusion in his face and tbh when he was singing, you can tell their is something wrong with him.
