Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Trailer Reaction: We Got Emotional!

Anyone else binge-watching trailer reactions of The Rise of Skywalker right now too?

Real love needs to be given to John Williams. That underscore is what made this trailer.

3-PO got me tearing up. He is my earliest memory of Star Wars. “The gold robot”

When Han says “Chewie, we’re home” recked me in “The Force Awakens” trailer. The C3PO scene got me, also seeing Leia.

I'm not ashamed to admit it - I'm crying like a baby for several reasons. I'm so anxious to see the Ghost again, cuz Rebels helped me get thru my wife's death, and seeing it again is happy-jarring to me. Hoping to see a grown-up Jacen Syndulla! Palpatine is back! Can his evil EVER be destroyed?! And yes, I'm also shedding some tears that we're likely going to lose Threepio. After 11 movies (I'm also counting his cameo in Rogue One, and the Holiday Special), and three series (Droids, The Clone Wars, Rebels), the thought of losing such another central character is extremely emotional. For someone who grew up with Star Wars instead of Sesame Street, this may be like losing one of your oldest friends.

I’m ready to see this movie. C3PO has me in tears when he said that he wanted to look at his friends, and looks like the movie will be worth it to see it a couple of times in theater. Also I didn’t see the Ghost until you pointed it out and now I’m excited to hopefully see the Rebels on the big screen

As the official old fart of the group, I remember spending a month of Saturday’s at the theatre back in ‘77. From 10 am till around 6p, (no one ever checked back then), and my mom didn’t understand the appeal. FF to today, and I’m glad I’m not the only one with running mascara.

Crying is the most human response.

I started crying as soon as C-3P0 said he wanted to take one last look at his friends. OMG, not C-3P0!!!! They can't crush us like that. R2D2 is hopping nervously when he says that, too. :(

My personal take on why these trailers are so impactful - the MUSIC - When those familiar notes come out bolder and louder than the movies have them, it just get to you. It makes all the scenes they show more powerful. What the Force Awakens trailer again and that version of the music is incredible.

You guys did a great job, on the second time around the volume was much better we couldn’t hear it the first time around and I’m as excited as you and just as emotional! May the force be with you guys

Almost three years later and this damn trailer still gets me every time I swear! And seeing you guys tear up just sets me off 😅😭 that C-3p0 part with the super amazing dramatic John Williams theme afterwards is honestly THEE best moment in all of cinematic trailer history and I’ll ALWAYS stand by that!

I cried like a baby. The same way I did for Endgame. My childhood and all the movies I’ve grown up with over the years coming to an end :(

That 3P0 line is hard to take. Especially, since he's been with me since '77.

Threepio doesn't "die" - He simply forgets the memories of the new friends he's made - They get erased/wiped when they "reboot" him & get replaced w/his old memories from the disc from Zori Bliss ~

The Best and Most Genuine Reaction. This is so much better than the vast majority of reactions I've seen. This excitement and inability to control your emotions watching a glimpse of the final piece of a saga that's lasted 42 years is amazing. Felt myself welling up watching it all knowing that this story will finally come to an end this year.
