"Show me your worth, Mythos... THAT I MIGHT REVEL IN IT" It's honestly a shame he had his helmet on for that line too- his facial expression would have looked perfect.
-
I wasnt feeling it too hard and then the music came in. And his VA. His fucking VA KILLED IT during the entire fight. His evil maniacal side really came through, something I wasn't expecting when he was so calm and brooding for 90% of the game. I love the dark 'chivalrous' knight but then he took it to another level.

It’s so cool how Barnabas, so calm and stoic throughout most of the story, shows himself to be the most fanatical true believer out of all of the dominants.
-
If there's another Dissidia, this guy should be 16's "villain"
-
I just realized the beginning of this is a leitmotif of Ultimas theme but with a soldiers March feel to it - he’s literally a soldier of his god and that’s pretty epic actually
-
The moment he snapped is when this fight got real none of the doom and gloom of his usual speech’s but the energy of a blood starved beast who has finally found a worthy hunt. Bahamut and Titan were spectacle fights this was a duel to the death between hated rivals
-
Loved this guy got total classic pure evil villain vibes from him
-
The voice acting is excellent in the game, but props to Clive and Barnabas' voice actors. When the voice direction (which is generally really strong) asks them to go THERE? They do so in full force. The voice actor absolutely nailed the intensity and unhinged Barnabas. Especially after he laughs and makes his declaration to Clive.

I love how "quieting" is him priming so hard it's like he's shutting out ultima's will, which might actually be what's happening.
-
This is the most Final Fantasy sounding song I have heard in years. Reminds me of 4, 5, and Tactics.
-
I can literally picture this man flying across the field doing Circle of Malius while cackling like a lunatic
-
The way he completely loses it in the second phase is amazing. This guy has single-handedly conquered the entirety of Ash and has been its ruler for more than 40 years. But this? This is the first time he actually finds someone his level. He has finally found a worthy opponent, and there is no way in hell he is letting this chance go.
-
Soken loves his leitmotifs and I in turn love his music.
-
Every dominant fight was eikon vs eikon heavy which was awesome. But this fight was just mano e mano, super fun. Almost reminded me of a ff14 boas fight
-
This was the game's equivalent of a vergil fight and man was it good, when he started maniacally laughing and flying around the arena i had a bigass smile on my face
-
Gotta love the speech Barnabas/Odin gives when he shifts to this phase. The laugh, the delivery, the demonic voice, everything about it is perfect. And he even remains super-flowery with his words, even though it can summarized as "Hurray! You're actually strong enough to make me go all out! What fun!"

When I first saw that Odin was the Warden of Darkness and Bahamut the Warden of Light, and that Dion fought for Sanbreque, I figured Dion would be a villain and Barnabas a heroic or antihero character. A Dark is Good/ Light is Evil kind of thing. Then I got to the Titan fight and the whole thing between Dion and Margrave, and I realized Dion was a good guy in a country full of evil. As for Barnabus, the twist of him being an undying king for 40 years puts a lot of the earlier cutscenes in a new light, and the final battle with him was both excellent and difficult to win. Props to SE for making such a well written bad guy!

This is what a dark knight is supposed to be, tired of all bs in the world and wants to destroy everything just to get maybe a fake chance to start anew.
-
This moment, where some of the Zenos woke up inside him, was such a pleasant surprise that the hype finally ratcheted back up to maximum levels since Bahamut. So good.

Love the theme, it's heroic but also villian esque. Kind of like Batman but with more medieval flair
