The important thing is, keep your laptop's base tilted at an angle for air flow. Do not use laptops lay flat on a surface, or plush foam, bed, couch. Place it on top of open air laptop stand.

I had my Asus Strix Rog 17 for half an year: -it already got pretty dusty inside, even though I was really careful -it is pretty loud and the CPU cannot pass 40% of it's performance even on turbo because it won't cool well enough The overall experience is very nice, well built, mind blowing fast, but the cooling still needs some work. I would prefer a thicker gaming laptop so it can cool itself better.
