Cori Bush, a member of the progressive congressional group known as the “Squad,” was seeking a third term in Missouri’s 1st Congressional District, which includes St. Louis city and part of St. Louis County. Bell is heavily favored to carry this overwhelmingly Democratic district in November, when his party is aiming to retake control of the U.S. House.

  • Politics is insane these days. On top of the lies, most people are so uninformed and money/donations end up being a deciding factor. Literally exactly what you don’t want. Candidates should raise a set amount of money and have an equal playing field that people get to vote on policies not who they see more on commercials. This goes for all public office. Idk either of these candidates, but just in general the lack of knowledge people have these days is truly astounding and scary. People tend to take for granted our position in the world and don’t realize that can be taken away very easily and in a short period of time by the wrong decisions because they vote on people for a 30 second clip on a commercial with zero knowledge of what that persons credentials or policies are.
