I got to read and re-watch this series it's been so long.

I watched this series when I was around 9 years old and it had been out for like 4 or 5 years. I have to rewatch it. I remember there was a Brazilian TV channel on cable that would release episodes every night at 1AM and they were always in Spanish or English instead of Portuguese. At one point they stopped releasing them in Spanish and switched to English exclusively. Toonami wasn't even close when it came to the series they ran. Eventually I'd watch Toonami in the afternoons and then stay up to watch the shows on the Brazilian channel through cable TV. Ninja Resurrection, Evangelion, Vampire Hunter D, Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, unedited Dragon Ball Z, Kite, Aeon Flux, Blue Seed, Robotech, Samurai X and so many more. How we went from Anime and adult animation like these to what passes for Anime these days is crazy.
