"it is the primary ingredient in bile, so maybe that's what gives Redbull it's unique taste" - this really does explain a lot.

Another thing I wanted to add: what about simmering all the stuff instead of boiling? I believe if you boil the "tea" too hard it's going to destroy some aroma chemicals instead of extracting them. I think simmering might give you a different result. That's no critique, just a thought :)
  • Taurine is actually supposed to have a relaxing effect. It can help with anxiety and lowers blood pressure. It might be added in order to reduce some side effects of the caffeine.

Someone tell Nile Red so he can finally get his caffeine-free Red Bull.

When you tasted it, it didn't convince me that they were close 😅 felt like you followed an internet recipe that was not it, but by that point you already made the video...

Finally, I can make a heart attack right at my very own house!

What I've found that gives red bull is flavor is Guarana. If you've have the opportunity to drink Guarana soda, it's basically identical, and Guarana is naturally caffeinated - the color is even similar. I would venture to get that red bull is mostly naturally caffeinated and taurine is added.

I quit energy drinks about half a year ago. However I think I would have loved to see a monster recipe just without the caffeine. This is awesome keep it up.

"hey bro, want some homebrew redbull?" "What?"
  • @JackieJKENVtuber
Bro literally gave us a free and open source alternative to redbull's recipe which is completely proprietary

I like to eat the peels once the oleosacchrum (sp) is done enough. They're like little candies, as long as you didn't get too much pith when you peeled.

This is great! I was actually discussing to a friend recently about how popular drinks like redbull would taste if homemade. I think I will give it a try. As always, your videos are the highlight of my notifications!

There’s this one channel that has this series called “Make it or Buy it, where they break down the making of common store bought items (like matcha tea, bread, etc
), and one thing they do (that I really appreciate) is they not only break down the making of the item in question, but also break down the cost, effort, and time needed to make the respective thing. It’s really cool that you were able to make Red Bull, but I can’t help but think things like “man, ginseng is so pricey” or “oh, but I really like (X) flavor”. You’ve listed the ingredients, shown the process, but haven’t discussed the price or whether the drink is worth making at home or not. I haven’t checked the video description at this time, so maybe the prices are listed there and I could just decide for myself if this is worth making, but it’s a short step of effort that would certainly be worth including IMO. Don’t get me wrong, it’s really cool that you were able to make something comparable to the original, and I might just try making it myself
assuming I don’t need to sell my soul to get some ginseng lol.

mfer if you say basically, actually, or specifically one more time, I swear to god..
  • @alienligenali
Well, I don't know how Red Bull tastes in other countries, but in Brazil the taste is basically guaranĂĄ. More specifically GuaranĂĄ AntĂĄrctica.

Finally, a new video! By the way, I stumbled across your Club Mate recipe, and I make it weekly, only difference is half the sugar!
  • @Sleezy.Design
I've been wanting to try this for years, I think this is the sign for me to finally try it, thanks! Why did you use exactly these herbs and spices? Any specific research sources or did you just guess?
  • @SCYTHE2525
Would be just as well if anyone left out the licorice root due to the glycyrrhizin content and potential side effects. Especially if someone decides they really like this home brew and intend to make it often.
