You can wash it and scrub it and soak it in soda but you will never get rid of that Billingsgate odour.

Most of the fish here looks defrosted or sadly old, you should look at Med fish markets like those in Spain, Greece or Turkey for real daily catch. If it stinks of fish it’s not fresh, fresh fish smells on the sea.
