In my fist playthrough with my pals, We raided a glitch castle and killed the king. I used the loot I got to make a home and the king came to live with us. He even said he Used to have a castle. It was so god damn funny.

Awyis Fenerox are cuute. However I'm also very partial to the birbs. The chirping is adorable. My most /useful/ tenant though is the Fleshling, with fleshy furniture obvs. They often gift weapons as rent and that shores up the variety of attack modes very very nicely. And sells for most cash out of the rent options if that's what you need. (and prior to 1.1, building them on a moon resulted in overleveled weapon drops, muahaha) Number two tenant is the Cavemen, from tar biome. I dug up a cave (duh) for them under my repopulated hylotl castle and they pay me tribute in many hunting spears.

"Bow down to the king, baby!" You mean "Hail to the king, baby!" ?

Just to add to this. Many tenants can belong to different races, so you may pick your choice of race for relevant unique tenants by placing some furniture and/or decorations pertaining to that tag (You can find the list of possible variations on wiki)

I'm surprised you didn't mention the Avian priest I have one with red and gold armour in my place (just find an avian temple and mine the bricks as well as the artifacts. nevermind the fact that it actually doesn't look that bad (do not get the nest bed for some reason you sleep naked in it)

So he's called a spooksman thought he was a witch doctor or cannibal. Bought the spooky set because it looked cool and he popped up.
