The reason this video has so many views is because I keep forgetting the lines
  • Viewer: wow, I watched this video and I'm gonna remember and apply this whole theory on a match. 1st move: king's pawn Opponent: plays sicillian
  • @Courtj3st3r33
"it's never too late to throw the game away" That hit close to home 😆

I'm a beginner, and I just checkmated myself in 8 moves. Incredible!

Levy says: this has to happen! black has to do this! white has to do this! ... Bro you've never been to the 800s !

When I was younger (back in the early 90s), a friend and I went through all the possible lines of the Fried Liver because we liked cheapos (that's what we called cheap traps) and black was always better if you played it right. We started completely destroying anyone that played the Fried Liver as white. It was usually that they didn't know all the lines that we did. But every now and then, we would find someone that would know some of the best responses by black and they would still lose. Too bad I don't remember all the lines. It'd be interesting to see what the engines say now.

I have been destroyed by the fried liver so many times. Finally, I know why I keep losing! Thank you for this, Levi. You are an incredibly useful and entertaining man!

Just finally reached 1000 rating for the first time and it's all thanks to your YouTube videos and courses on Chessly, so just wanted to stop by the Fried Liver video (which I learnt from and then used the opener to climb to 1000, including the game that pushed me over the boundary) to say thanks for all the incredible content you make! On to the next milestone!

Just getting properly back into chess after a few years away and so much easier with all these fantastic videos. I’m new to this channel but could watch it all day long! Great content 👍. This one made me smile in particular.

This video is such an inspiration that I boost my winning rate from 50% to 60% while rising from somewhere 1100 to 1200+ after simply watching it twice.😍
