Recipe Overview:
Ingredients:
2 lbs chicken wings (separated into drumettes and flats)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup hot sauce (preferably Frank’s RedHot)
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
Cooking oil for frying
Instructions:
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
In a large bowl, mix the flour and cornstarch. Dredge the wings in the mixture, shaking off any excess.
Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the wings in batches for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Toss the fried wings in the Buffalo sauce until they are evenly coated.
Serve hot with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing.
