Respect to magic for having no problem talking about sensitive subjects in public. MJ had a warriors mindset, no room for weakness or compassion. It’s kill or be killed, a true competitor.

It had to be tough coming back for Magic. He walked onto an amazing team as a Rookie winning a championship right off the bat. It had to be weird to not be the best anymore.

I was a freshman in high school when Magic made his announcement of having HIV. It was a huge deal back then!!! I remember crying about it!! Also, the day after he spoke to the media, he went on the Arsenio Hall show and the audience literally clapped like 5 minutes!! Magic was the biggest ball player in the NBA at the time. This was a little bit before Michael Jordan exploded.

There’s no lying in that on. He took the badge and dominated the game like no one else!! Let me say it like this, he climbed the mountain and got on top and stayed on top until he retired 2 times with 2 -3 peats. Best era of basketball 😊

Michael may have told all that to Magic in 1990-91, but then remember that Magic came back for about half a season in 1995 - 96

Maybe he didn’t have the Showtime Lakers, but next season they got Shaq and Kobe. Would have been fun to see how they would’ve played together

Magic was a true winner who made he's teammates super stars. Not many players had that gift. You know when Jordan came to nba, he was a ball hog and even though he scored 50points. He lost so many games. After few years later, guess he learned Magic's tricks. Team play. By the way I've been watching NBA since 82. I'm 51 now. Respect to Magic.
