Ahhhh what a busy reserve month! With my seniority (after 6 years of flying) I am only on reserve about 3 months out of the year so I wanted to document this past month all in one video. Thank you so much for being here, for taking the time out of your day to watch this video & I hope you stick around for more 😊 If you have any questions about being a flight attendant please put them in the comment section below and I will do my best to answer them here or make an entirely separate Q&A type video! JJ ❤✈
  • Definitely keep her on the crew. She is who you want on your flight. She has it all.

After listening to the flight sequences for your month of May, reminds me that I am so glad that I’m retired now going on 4 years with 36 years as a pilot at AA. Good luck in your career you seem to have a great attitude. 👨‍✈️✈️
  • Newfound respect Julia for all FAs. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. You are essential to the industry.
  • In my teens I really wanted to be a flight attendant. I had flown many times to and from European airports, plus 2 return long-haul. I thought it was such a great job and the flight attendants always looked so lovely in their uniforms. My parents got the daughter of their friends to come talk to me. She, whilst enjoying an excellent salary and free flights for holidays, brought me down to earth by explaining what the training and everyday working was like. I went to university and found my ideal place in life. I love flying and, having been raised well, have never been a Karen on a flight. I can see why you are so good at what you do. You have a calmness and personality to handle what can be a very stressful job. So glad I found your channel.

First video I've seen of yours. So interesting and informative. I had no idea this is how it worked!
  • I have been watching your channel for a month or so. You have opened my eyes as what your job requires. I had no idea how stressful and uncertain your day to day could be. When I fly now I will have so much appreciation for flight attendants.
  • Dedication, levelheadiness, and generous flexibility. Seems to be paramount importance. Absolutely amazing how you can deal with all the minor and major setbacks.👌

Julia I gotta say, your channel brings a sense of comfort to me. I’m not a flight attendant, but I work crazy hours/shifts for my job & I can work up to 6/7 in a row. And sometimes we get notified about changes just a few hours in advance or whatnot. And I’m also about an hour away from work like yourself. So it’s definitely comforting to know that I’m not the only one who has a grind like this haha. Keep up these awesome vlogs!

Flight Attendants definitely deserve better pay!! I can't believe you don't get paid for boarding and deplaning!! 😕 Thank you for giving us a better idea exactly what is involved in being a FA Julia😊 Hello to Eric and Miss Luna!!❤
  • I'm new here and I think you're just a beautiful and caring young woman. I'm an RN but not currently working due to my own health issues. I just love your love for your baby, Luna. We have four dogs and our oldest looks just like Luna. Her name is Sandy. There's no better love and comfort than that of a four-legged child ❤ Your airline is very fortunate to have someone as dedicated as you are. I hope they know that. Take care, stay safe, and keep smiling, it's contagious ❤

That first trip you had with all the cancelations, changes to the trip, and uncerntinty is exactly why I would never be a flight attendant. Not that I even have the right personality for it lol but holy moly not knowing where you're going or when you're arriving or even if your trip can change at the drop of a hat is so much. Kudos to flight crew and pilots because that is too much for me.
  • My sister was a "stewardess" for United in the 1960s based in SFO. It was a more glamorous time, but was regulated, and therefore she had a pretty regular schedule each month. Aviation has really changed since 1978, with both positives and negatives. You have a wonderful attitude and I know it can test your patience. Stay safe!
  • @2224jrock
Globetrotting with Julia is where it’s at!❤️ 😃👍🏼✈️🌎
  • @bleumarin1968
working in crew-scheduling must be so stressful and exhausting, they have all my admiration
  • @traceyflater
I love seeing how much Luna loves her firsbee time,
  • In the eyes of the general public, flight attendants appear to be enjoying a “glamorous and fun” job. However, as a retired aircrew member who has accumulated over 10K hours of flight time; I know that assumption is not accurate. To be an aircrew member; including pilots, flight attendants or stewards; you must be totally focused on your job and have a Plan A, B, C, or D in place in order to cope with an ever changing working environment….additionally, you’ll need to deal with the “Circadian Effect” that affects any crew member who transits multiple zones during a typical workday….Have a good one!!😅
  • I always treat my FA's to a chocolate bag of treats....they always love being appreciated As they should be ❤️
  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and I thought my life as a Special Ed Teacher was busy.....my goodness you were busy. Glad your flights were safe. Thank YOU for all of your hard work keeping US safe when we fly. God bless
