    I like that! At some point I remember realizing that "already" should be more like "as of now", which seemed to go better with the meaning of Ya. As of now I have eaten, as of now I don't eat cheese. Anyway, thinking of Ya as "now" helps my mind.

  • How about Ya! As in enough or no more? Like in an argument. Ya! Or Basta ya! Jajaja, I should have waited to watch more before I wrote. I say ya no cómo carne a lot because I quit eating it a few years ago and need to explain that in some restaurants when on vacation. You guys keep reading my mind! 😂
  • Nicely done 👍 But all this is quite standard in the average textbook or an intermediate grammar book. What about "ya" as a stand-alone interjection? You don't find that usage neither in those books nor in your presentation. It simply means "yes" or - surprise - (English) "ya".
