I can't get over the fact Nihal looks simultaneously 15 and 35

That was so well played Nihal! Much respect and props!
  • No offense but time scramble on chess24 is a nightmare. Very slow interface.

    Damn, Nihal’s comeback though 🤩
  • I don't know why people are behaving like if Andrew Tang was an amateur in chess. He got his GM title in classical time format quite young still, sure, he is not a Super GM, but then again how many people are. He tends to mess up in the openings and that is why his opponents get better positions over him, but it is also his great prowess in defense later in the game, that makes it so tough for his opponents to convert these winning positions. Tang usually messes up in the first few moves, so his opponents have still about 3 minutes to convert. That said, he's not flagging them with 3 minutes on their clock, he just skillfully defends for the whole game and the flagging part comes in only at the very end, because who wants to lose on time? Besides, Tang usually has less time on his clock than his opponents have when he starts the flagging process. P. S. I saw a couple of games in this where Andrew was a few moves away from delivering a forced checkmate to Nihal, so who was winning in that position?

nice nihal!! very well played, a little bit nervous at the end of games when it was a time scramble, you had it in that stalemate.
  • @alienkidxx

This was like a manga battle. "He... he's still evolving!!!!"

Wow! I would never had bet on Tang. I consider this result a huge surprise. Congratz 🐧

You was not playing ''a'' quick player, but the quickest player on the planet, known as quicker than Alireza or Magnus, and winning bullet tournement against them. Anyway, you play better than him and had four winning games at the beginning. You're a champion and do I dare to write, a genius, because of the harmonious way you develop your pieces. I hope you'll be world champion. You and Pragg are the new Vishy, and better. Thanks for this match, and be sure we share the frustration. Be happy

I was so scared of the stalemate happening, don't know why Nihail wasn't checking every move with 2 Queens - mate tens to happen by accident often when you do that.

Just a few years ago, Tang was a little kid from Minnesota, getting instruction from Bartholomew. Now look at him. Impressive

Unfortunately not the better but the faster player won. Also, Congratulations to Andrew Wang! Nice Comeback of Nihal.
