About Me:

My bio is pretty random: In short, I am a professional singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada who moved to Manila, Philippines which sorta became my Hollywood because my first Youtube channel MIKEYBUSTOSVIDEOS grew popular due to Filipino comedy videos. Meanwhile, I'm also a big biology geek who is obsessed with ants, so I built an internationally operating ant business supported by another popular channel called ANTSCANADA, and well basically, today I travel and tour around the world doing what I love so I wanted to start this vlogging channel, in hopes to encourage you guys to follow your dreams no matter how random, by showing you what happened when I followed mine! You just never know where life will take you when you listen to the yearnings of your heart!

Wow! Just received this message from BIRD KINGDOM on IG DMs: Hey Mikey! I saw your video on YouTube ! Just wanted to say thank you for the kind words ! There were a few things I just wanted to address:) as for the spurred tortoise Sheldon, right before your video he was taken off display as we are building him a much larger enclosure in our main aviary. Which is why his sign was still up! Sorry about the confusion. As for the lorikeet landing you’re absolutely right about the plants ! We get that question a lot, as for the nectar that they eat it is actually not a wheat flower mixture. It is quite a bit more complex than that! And the macaws and cockatoos in the aviary are actually all free flighted ! As all the parrots in the building are, unfortunately Max, the hyacinth just doesn’t know how to fly. But we do teach them ! As you saw with Carrie, it’s never too late for them to learn. So, the plants are in-fact not safe we just have a great horticulturist! Thanks again for the kind words ! Hope you enjoyed your visit to the falls.

OMG, this was SO MUCH FUN!!! Mikey, you’re so freaking funny!!! Look there, look here, look up, look down, look near, look far… seems like that should be a song… LOL… I know you just can’t help yourself… and it’s so fun to watch! What a cool place this aviary. Such a cool reason to have a family reunion. Niagara Falls is really beautiful! I love seeing Joseph cook!! He’s so right, the secret to a great steak is letting it rest for as long as you cooked it. Basting is also a great secret but, super important to let it rest. BTW, I’ve never noticed before just how much Joseph looks like your Dad. Trick-or-Treat is not what it used to be, that’s for sure. It seems the Pandemic really changed this. It’s kind of a shame, I have some amazing memories of costumes and trick-or-treating… oh well, everything changes (and, eventually everything comes back around, LOL). I gotta say, RJ just cracks me up sometimes (never let this man go, he’s a true treasure!). ‘Ya know, I don’t think I’ve heard this part of your “Origin Story”. Thank you for sharing this! I love things like this. I remember the exact moment and everything happening around me when I made my biggest life choice (that still impacts me, even today). I love seeing your past dogs. Mission was such a gorgeous dog, and it looks like he and Pinoy were such close siblings, these stories never get old. ‘Ya know, I’ve wondered if you plan to get a Piano at the Farm House? Personally, I think a piano adds such a great touch to any home (I recommend a 6’ or 9’ Yamaha Grand, personally, I think they’re the absolute best). OK, off to Mexico! I’m excited. For all the years I’ve been watching these vlogs, you’ve talked about going there and, now it’s happening!!! Travel safe!!! I’ll see ya’ll next time!

Growing up in Buffalo, I had the same attitude about Niagara Falls, it was no big deal. It was when I took visitors from areas that I really grew to appreciate the falls. I never did touristy things like The Maid of the Mist unless I was with people from out of town. It is truly a wonder and it's fun to be with people seeing it for the first time.

Agree with Mikey Bustos the Canada side of the Niagara Falls has a better view and bigger part of the falls so we always go cross the border and from NY and view it Canada side …😊
  • @aimeruedee
The Canadian side of Niagara falls is sooooo stunning! ❤️
  • @barbarareyes3005

  • @mariloushelledy
The birds were so colorful and beautiful. Great inspiration for the Mabuhay Squad Farmhouse Aviaries.
  • I love that you are so excited doing this vlog and I love RJ’s reply” buy it now”😂😂😂
  • @bethbarclay855
Those birds look amazing. Many I’ve never seen. Thank you for showing the Niagara Falls.❤
  • @AngryKittens
The dog pictures made me sad, remembering all my dogs that have passed away as well.

The small pink parrots are Bourke Parakeets. The wild form is darker, those birds you saw were a mutation known as Rosy Bourke's. They are from Australia and are related to Budgerigars, but a different species. They are very calm and quiet, but they do not talk. I raise them and recommend them as pets for someone who wants a small parrot but without the noise.
  • You are such a joy Mikey! Loving these vlogs from Canada, New York and soon to be Mexico. Love seeing the family. You are excited by everything. RJ is such a great partner and companion, always a little shy but he has such a great sense of humor. Can't wait to see you all in Mexico.

My kids and grandkids decided to forego the hassle of getting ready to go ToTing in the cold of night and simply went to WalMart the next day and got bags of 50% off candy that they actually liked. No hassle, no expensive costume, no cold, no sore feet, no unwanted candy. I told them they were stick-in-the-muds! lol
  • Again, I'm so proud of you, Mikey, you've gone a long, long, long way since Canadian Idol but you're still reaching for the stars and living the life with the fruits of your labor. You continue to amaze me, I love love your vlogs. Even my kid 5yo dances to the funky music end credits hahaha, he's so cute!! Thankyou for inspiring us, positive vibes!!! God bless you all.
