For those who saw the full match, will realize this was purely a mental battle. Zverev, when playing well like today, keeps baiting you, like he did to Jarry today... to go for the big one. Jarry fell for the trap, and his UE count was high. He just couldn't execute the winners and just wilted under the immense pressure due to the depth and accuracy from the German. Zverev doesn't blow you away on the court. He uses his top-notch baseline game to slowly chip away.

Have to give credit to Zverev, after his injury he could have easily gone the same way as someone like Thiem, but he’s back where he was and winning big titles again. Definitely a contender for Roland Garros.
-
I had no idea Jarry was this good, seems to have all the tricks. Got himself a new fan. Also great gesture from zverev at the end

Man, Zverev really loves this place. Always brings his best tennis to Rome finals. Been in 3, won 2 and in the one he lost he gave Rafa a heck of a fight and Zverev might have actually won if it was not for the rain delay which came just as Zverev had all the momentum.

Zverev: gold in Tokio, 2 Nitto Finals, 6 masters 1000...Sascha its time for GS )))
-
Zverev is a wonderful player honestly
-
Zverev has persevered and worked really hard to come back from his career-threatening injury... good to see him lift the trophy in time for peaking at Roland Garros to be considered among the favourites! 🙂 Jarry had a superb couple of weeks taking out big time players... he's certainly going to win titles on this surface if he keeps at it!

— Congrats Zverev on his first Masters title in almost two years, his first title of 2024 and an ATP ranking of No. 4 on Monday. — It has been a long road back after his severe ankle injury at the 2022 French Open which ended his 2022 season. Since then this is just his third title but a big one and just in time to contend for the 2024 French Open and the Paris Olympics. — He had a stellar year in 2021 winning the Olympics Singles Gold Medal, two Masters, 6 overall titles, the ATP Finals for a second time and finishing the year at No. 3. — Zverev is one of just a few active players with more than 20 career titles.

Zverev, whether you like him or not, and his off-court shenanigans aside, is one of the most persevering and dogged players out there. Like a rash that doesn't go away, he keeps coming at you.
-
After all the hard work coming back from his injury and faced a few hard losses since, nothing but fully deserved 👊🏽🙏🤩
-
Congrats to Sasha, Jarry’s got a bright future, one of the hardest/cleanest ball striking I’ve seen in awhile
-
Zverev’s serving numbers are crazy. If he maintains his form, he can win a title in Paris, either RG or the olympic gold.
-
Zverev played too well today, he really deserved to win! Hopefully Tabilo and Jarry will continue to improve tho, they certainly have a lot of potential.
-
Highlights right after the match - Good job ❤
-
Good seeing Zverev back on top. He just needs to win a major now.
-
Zverev a été trois fois demi-finaliste à Roland, il est un client sérieux pour le titre à Paris.
-
Hopefully Zverev wont have the dubious distinction of being the greatest ever with no majors
-
outstanding performance for both players. i love the style of Zverev
-
You know Sasha is on when his depth is on. He played amazing and is peaking just in time for a RG breakout
-
Jarry is a dangerous opponent…Zverev was able to manage pressure & control momentum.
