I know a few Latin Americans in metal bands. Let's put on a Woodstock type of concert to bring awareness to this. 100,000 plus mass congragation. It sickens me how the US government can waste 3.5 TRILLION on ecologically greener technology we don't even need, but can't help Cuban families in the US stay connected. From Greensburg, PA, I support you! I'd also like to add, my neighbors are Cuban. I already designed a battle flag for Cuba based off of the Gadsden Flag. People seem to like it so far.

  • Carl Hiaasen wrote, through one of his characters, that the Cubans in Miami have gotten too fat and lazy in the USA while their compatriots in Cuba need their help. But isn't it true that right now the Cubans in Miami are not being lazy? Why would Hiaasen write through his character, JesĂşs Bernal, a hard-core Cuban anti-communist, that the Cubans in Miami should go to Cuba to help their people? How could Cubans today do such a thing? If the Cubans here in Miami went to Cuba, would they be even more energetic and less "lazy", to use character Bernal's term? Is it true that Cubans in Miami are staying here when they somehow could go back to Cuba? How would that be possible? Is it true that the Cubans in Miami are not even allowed to go back to Cuba? Is it true, in line with what the character Jesus Bernal said, that Cubans in the USA prefer to live here in complacency instead of living in their mother country and would never go back there, even if Cuba became a democratic country? Could Hiassen, through character Bernal, be correct about this?
