#181. Resin Art That SPARKLES Like CRYSTAL!!! A Video by Daniel Cooper

Here is a Resin Art video of me experimenting with UV resin and dish soap, this time adding bigger blobs to increase the magnification, my gut feeling worked and these pieces came out absolutely stunning! Much better than my previous smaller blob effects. I am naming this The Dish Soap Technique, I absolutely love creating new things with resin, plenty more to be created, watch this space!

Please do NOT experiment with products which may be dangerous if mixed with resin!

I’ve never done resin art, and don’t think I ever will, but I do find your videos compelling…. I love them
  • @debwestphal396
Apart from the fact your resin art is amazing. That tool you use that you got from Mrs Cooper. I think it's used on a knitting loom. You may already know.
  • @ryzezee8543
trapping water in it is really cool, like the water trapped in an amethyst rock
  • @pamelataylor3537
These 2 are gorgeous looking pendants. I can’t wait till my stuff gets delivered and I can start making some items. I’m learning so much from you Daniel, thanks so much for your videos.
  • @LWO579
I love those! almost wish there was a way to guarantee getting water and bubbles trapped. :)
  • @martinacorrado
I've been following you for many months now. You are "bravissimo". I will gladly try this technique too. 😊
  • @hollylowery26
I am completely addicted to watching your experimental videos! 😮
  • @dawnr714
Now u can take those hearts and make a mold of them! Truly fantastic!! 💜❤
  • @carolday3381
The flat parts, before you add the extra resin thats a chance to add tiny bit of Mylar flake on the flat surface before adding the extra resin drop. Or you could add just a bit of the powder colour you have in the flat surface before the resin drop. You could make the drops different colours as a result. That way you’d have a couple colours balls on a nest of clear balls.
  • @budgetmerch
I would cure the balls and gather them up. Then, when you have lots of the resin balls (washed and dried), put them in a new mould cavity and then pour in your resin, perhaps coloured this time. I think that would make a huge difference. I should try it myself, actually. You've certainly got me thinking about experimenting... 😁
  • ❤😮WOW! Out of all the experiments this is by far one I have to try! I absolutely love it! Thanks!
  • @npa6968
I totally agree with you about the trapped water (and associated bubbles) being a feature. Some of my favorite actual crystal specimens have trapped water in them, and I love the make the bubbles move around!
  • @suewarnes9469
Absolutely gorgeous! My personal preference would be a plain bale. I’m just awkward.😂🤪
  • @lancermonna
Thanks for the incredible video using this technique for UV resin. I now have an excellent idea of what to do for my Christmas designs for my bookmarks and charms. I also really liked the trapped water in the pendant and really think of it as an added feature. My idea is to take 2 heart halves, keep them hollow, mold them together, and turn them into a shaker charm. It should work out. Off to experiment.
  • @resinmeup
Very cool effect. It looked like frog eggs after you got all of the drops in there. Always love your experiments.
  • @toughtimes6596
Oh my! I have a few ideas and can't wait to give it a try 💞 Bravo!
