That Utah and Oklahoma State game in Stillwater is gonna be ELECTRIC -an Oklahoma state alum

100% with you on UCF. They’re already making big strides on the recruiting and coaching side. Not sure about alumni support, but with the right AD, that could also improve.

The Big 12 is so interesting right now. As a KU fan, I believe Leipold will have Kansas in the top 5. Look at his history and what he's already accomplished. It's hard to argue with any of Utah, OSU, Tech, KSU, UCF, and TCU, though. And this, then, excludes Arizona, BYU, WVU, Baylor, etc. What an interesting conference.

I hope y'all do a top 10 or 15 G5 programs. If you do for each g5 program, that would be cool to see.
  • @hutchings003
Kansas was a ridiculous ranking given your criteria. Arizona and TCU would have both been a clearer no. 5

I appreciate you mentioning Colorado, as I wanted to hear your take. But I also wanted to hear your take on Arizona, I believe they are also a top team in this conference. I think I would have tied colorado with ucf.

I think I’m the next few years you will see a few B12 teams camp out in the top twenty Utah, Texas Tech, K State, Kansas and possibly UCF
  • Kyle whittingham is Don James like, I love absolutely love the Utah program led by him and I think they have a legitimate chance to play in the CFP and they will run the B12 for years to come.

Overall a very good list and I think you got all the right teams. The only change I'd make is swapping Texas Tech and UCF. Texas Tech is recruiting slightly better right now and won head to head this season. I don't believe that Utah will run the Big12 like many of their fans think. They will be a top 5 team most years but they haven't played a schedule this tough top to bottom. Most of their time in the PAC it was just them and Oregon running the show with a big gap down to the next team. In the Big12 it will be a fight every single week.

Idc what anybody says, the Big 12 is the most fun conference in football AND basketball going forward.

The Utes are scary good tbh, they take low recruits and turn them into NFL players. Gotta give the staff over there credit

UCF already has a Top-25 recruiting class for 2025 and with a coach like NC winning Gus Malzahn, could be a very good team moving on. I actually predicted that out of the Big XII "newbies", UCF would be the only one to make a bowl game last season so I'll make this prediction... They will be the first to win the Big XII out of Cincy, Houston and the team down south. Colorado could be more of a threat this season than Arizona in my opinion. Maybe I'm just not buying into the Wildcats since their coach left? Their QB is a 'chucker' and against a good defense, he's going to throw a lot of INT's. He's not new anymore. Utah has all the pieces this season to win the Big XII and be a top-3 team in the Big XII moving forward and I guarantee they will have the toughest defense. GO UTES!

Why do you associate K-State as Cockroaches? That's a headscratcher. How is that a positive? It isn't. Maybe if we win a 4th Big 12 Championship our Wildcats will FINALLY get the respect they deserve. Utah does deserve their #1 ranking for sure.
