Peter Pan & Wendy is an upcoming American fantasy adventure film directed by David Lowery, who wrote the screenplay with Toby Halbrooks. Jim Whitaker and Joe Roth served as producers in the production of Walt Disney Pictures, which is a live-action adaptation of Walt Disney's 1953 animated film Peter Pan, in turn based on the 1904 play Peter Pan; or, the Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up (also known as Peter and Wendy) by J. M. Barrie. The film stars Alexander Molony as Peter and Ever Anderson as Wendy. Yara Shahidi, Jim Gaffigan, Alan Tudyk, Molly Parker and Jude Law also appear in supporting roles.

Development on a live-action Peter Pan film began on April 13, 2016, with Lowery directing. Lowery was announced as writing the film with Halbrooks, while the production team expanded the next four years due to work in the remake's script. The film's title was announced on January 7, 2020.

  • Nothing to this day has ever beat HOOK and never will Robin will always be Peter Pan
  • @mariafox9226
I think they should’ve continued the tradition of having the same actor as George play Captain Hook.
  • After the disappointment with Pinocchio 2022 I’m keeping my expectations low when it comes to Peter Pan and Wendy
  • It looks ok but nothing will beat the 2003 version. it was so magical and beautiful
  • My favourite Peter Pan is still Jeremy Sumpter (2003), but I will try and give the new cast a chance to enchant me!
  • @joshsauer4725
Peter Pan 2003 will always be the superior live action film. It actually brought JM Barrie’s story to life, but sadly was swept aside cause of LOTR
  • @pdriggey
Absolute best scene—when Peter’s sitting in the hideout and Chris Rock bursts through the door, rubs his cheek, and yells “Wow, Will Smith just slapped the S out of me!” This looks SO GOOD! The perfect movie for the “modern audience.”
  • I really wanted them to make peter pan look as close to the originals this kid does not looking creepy or mysterious at all but i will have to wait and see-
  • The part where Peter said "It's panning time" and moved the audio from left to right speaker gave me chills!
  • @TaySeanYt
The 2003 Peter Pan will always be the best but a strong second is hook with Robin
  • The Muppet includes 6 trillion views all around the world in 2023 & then they're celebrating 75 years of The Muppets all around the world in 2030!đź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ť
  • They will have gay/ lesbian characters in this remake of Peter Pan. I am calling it out now. Don't be surprised. The Disney company has openly admitted that they plan to continue these characteristics of beloved characters.

The reason why the original lost boys is supposed to be ALL real boys because in the adaptation book, Peterpan said, The boys were babies that fall out of their bed while girls were far too clever to make such mistake. Thus it is a subtle COMPLIMENT to girls intelligence and sensibility. Therefore it ties to the overarching story of Wendy, who is a girl, being a mature and steady influence on the group of boys. Because by the end of the story, she teaches the boys the joy of growing up, they cannot remain as children forever and inspired them to go back home and live a full and complete life. AND then we get this movie................. The sword fighting wendy is a good scene, albeit unwarranted but still a good scene.
  • I know the live action Disney remakes haven’t been good but this looks a little promising. The director is the same guy who made Pete’s Dragon(Remake) and the Green Knight which in my opinion were good.
  • So it it just against the law now in America to not race swap half your cast when remaking anything?
  • @Braiancamejo
    very excited 👏👏👏🎇🎇🎇
