you can truly see how much tony appreciated the board, genuinely so grateful
  • @aphexrhubarb
He was slightly lost for words with observing every sketch of artwork. Tony is just the most genuine guy and felt so humbled from your efforts Marko...That was a 10 out of 10 effort.

I thought Tony was gonna cry as he appreciated the comic art. Great job MARKO💪🏽🔥.

Tonys reaction gave me chills. Like I dont even know if he knows how much of a legend he is. Literally this man has shaped a sport and a generation. Wow wow wow. Marko this was next level.

AYEEE! We made the graphic, let's go!! Shout out to Marko, that deck's insane!
  • @MoveInChrist
Can we just appreciate Marko’s resilience in making this video. Great job Marko, keep it up!! Also, amazing work as always!
  • Tony Hawke is such a humble legend. To me he's the Dave grohl of skateboarding. For you to have done something so thoughtful for him is really wholesome, and even though I had no part in it, thanks man. He deserves it.

Tony Hawk is genuinely one the nicest and down to earth guys I've met. I was cooking for an event in La Jolla with everyone dressed up in suits and ties. Tony starting to chat it up with me for more than ten minutes. The only thing that put it together for me that I was talking to Tony Hawk was that he was the only person at the party wearing a flannel. It made me take another look at who it was I was talking to. Very humbling experience to meet probably one of the wealthiest guy at the party and seeing how he carried himself in any atmosphere. ultra chill dude

Wow, Marko's a legend!! While I never got to meet Tony Hawk in person, he had such a giant positive effect on my childhood, and not just because I played Tony Hawk Pro Skater all the time. I was in skate club in high school and we not only raised funding for it but we built our 1st ever skate park as well! Tony Hawk donated funds to allow us to build the park and I appreciate him so much for doing so. I have moved away from that state but I found out a few years ago that the park doesn't exist anymore and I literally sobbed. My family moved all the time and that was the first time I actually got to complete a school without having to move again. That was my childhood, my skate family and we worked hard to build it by hand. Every board, every screw was us! Opening day I literally bled on the ramps and ruined my pants because they ripped XD One of my skate bros sadly and tragically passed away and they even had a plaque put at the park for him. That park meant everything to us and it was thanks to Tony Hawk and everyone else who donated to us! I used to customize skateboards as well and am starting to again. And I wanted to gift a board to Tony Hawk as well so this video made me so happy! Besides putting money into decorating the boards, I want to save up so I can pay it forward and help others create skateboard parks like Tony Hawk did for us. That is such a huge goal for me so I thank you for inspiring me further with this video Marko!!

Marko is a legend for his persistence, ngl. Also sticking to the raw denim look over the glossy version you'd see everywhere else. Can't imagine what that denim board feels like.
  • @rickymcbutters
Tony was clearly touched with that one Marko! Quality art and very thoughtful!

As someone who grew up idolizing Tony Hawk this is so cool. Like imagine giving Tony Hawk a custom board and he says it’s his favorite he’s ever received. That’s legendary man. Your level of artistry, craftsmanship, and thoughtfulness all came together to make something special and you can tell Tony was very appreciative. I appreciate seeing it, thanks.
  • @TomChasuk
Wow...this is so special. Tony was so touched by your thoughtfulness. Amazing!😃

back in the 70s, I made my own skateboard, and covered it (wrapped it) with actual denim from some old jeans. Lined up the seam of the jeans so my toes could grab it and pull it around for 180s and 360s. Fun to see Marko using denim in a completely different way!
  • @vicsstang89
Markos a legend. I thought he was going to make the hawk cry.
  • @JohannNorris
I like when he asks you, can you skate and you send a stunt man to do your job so I like your facial expression at the end 😂🫶👍
