BTW, basic story is from real history, the name of main character is Thorfinn Karlsefni, he was an explorer from Iceland🇮🇸

Story takes place in western Europe of the time period when Denmark were invading England. It was more like conquering rather than spreading Christianity. England was Christian in comparison with Denmark who were still pagans at that time, but religion do have some role as driving power for some characters worldviews

Golden Kamuy is amazing and doesn't get the fame and attention it deserves! It's one of my favorite anime along with Vinlans Saga and I very strongly recommend both! Please give it a chance!

this is possibly one of the best animes ever created, its a historical fiction about a young violent seeking for the revenge viking becoming a pacifist
