As far as the first property, she almost immediately agreed that it was probably about 5 acres. She knew that it was but thought they would get by cheaply. On top of that he said he had a mower that is air conditioned. I would say "Get to mowing"!

There will be people who will cheat good people. They do it to exploit. They do it from selfishness, entitlement, and arrogance. It is so unfair and hard. Please don't let them drag you down into their miserableness. You are loved by many. You are appreciated by many. You have kind and good hearts. You do great work! Very thorough. Hold onto that as you heal. Shake off the dust, the grass, from your feet as you leave these people. There are many, many people who love and appreciate you! Celebrate and savour your wonderful times. We are all giving you an internet hug!

They wanted cheap, and were not wanting to do it themselves. The fact that you asked for a more reasonable price, caught them out--hence the attack on your job quality. It was not kind. Just like a10 year old... "Oh yeah, Well you don't even do that spectacular job!" You were right. They were not being honest or truly needy. Trying to get something for nothing.
