We shot over to Bald Eagle Airfield today to shoot a tour video and quickly found that the runway took a beating over the weekend. We talked to our normal flyers and found none of them had been flying. Oh well, let the tour go on!

They gonna be real sad when we hook the snatcheroo 7.3l up to their rudder and drag them off the runway.
  • Some YouTube fans are so weird. Common sense evaded them. Just because you’re a fan that doesn’t mean you’re entitled to anything a content creator shows you on their platform. Like Cleetus said; there’s a time and a place. When you’re invited; that’s the appropriate time for you to show up. Otherwise respect his boundaries and his privacy!

As a bridge inspector, I can tell you that plenty of counties in Tennessee use the bottom of a train car as a bridge. Counties with little to no budget do it all the time and it will clear a very large distance and have a steel base to drive heavy equipment across.

Came to Florida from the UK... Turned up to a Cleetus Event (swap meet), met Cleetus, met George, met Jackstand. They were all happy to pose for pics.. You don't need to sneak in and ruin it for everyone.
  • @col6y
DEFINITELY GET THOSE CAMERAS INSTALLED BROTHER!
  • Keep as many trees as possible!!! Don’t clear them out. They help break wind, and noise. They obviously add a lot of privacy and overall adds character to the property.

what makes Cleetus cool is that he gives “you know who you are” at least a chance to make it right. This man has brought back some relics for yall to enjoy. Give the man the respect he deserves otherwise yall will ruin it for the rest of us who actually love attending these types of things.

ADS-B Exchange. You can play back to a certain point in a time and watch all the air traffic in the area and see who came and went and get the reg numbers. Pretty easy to do. Just remember it's Zulu time, not local. You can get the information and compare it to when people apply for authorization and then have a talk with them about it. I can't believe pilots dont realize that their aircraft can still be tracked.

Aye fr fr i think Cleet and Squirrel should seriously build a rally car and do a rally event. Would be gold content to watch them try to work together and navigate the course😂
  • @Garrett_T.
I’d leave as many trees as possible, personally. It’s established shade and landscaping you don’t have to worry about in the future
  • Nice!!! Here in Michigan we used to attend a Fly-In at a private runway. Carl the owner would pick a weekend for the fly-in and pilots from all over came. Carl's Fall event included a pumpkin drop and TP drop. Some pilots would camp out the entire weekend as well. The evening bonfires were also a blast. All at a private runway. So much potential you have Cleetus with your new airport! Congrats!!!

So stoked for you Cleet, you are living your dream life with your family and friends. You've busted your ass, taken huge risks and now you're reaping the rewards. Couldn't have happened to a better dude 🙏I hope you are going to keep all the cows out there and enough room for them to roam happily.
  • @kevintaylor791
Get security cams with good resolution. Point them at the runway. Catch the registrations.
  • @dshans18
Thanks for allowing the 99.9% of your fans that respect you and won’t trespass to get an insider view of the amazing property. Sucks that the .1% always seem to ruin things. Keep on keeping on brother!

That place is a total vibe. My Grandpa used to fly a Cessna 140 and would fly under our local bridge (it's about 80ft above the water) and land in his fields and whatnot. I've been wanting to get my pilots license for a long time, and you're inspiring the crap out of me right now. I love seeing you live out your dreams, this is so awesome!!
  • Hey Cleet, as a safety specialist i would really suggest you put your headrest a few inches up higher. Believe me, in a crash having it so low can cause your neck to snap. Living on the edge, but do it smart😅
  • Imagine when Rip grows up and gets to watch all of these old vids to see where his dad came from...having these vids are gunna mean alot to Cleets family
  • @BushmanCanuck
Should incorporate a "control tower" in your house. Would be a sweet hangout 😎👍🏼

It is interesting to watch you address all of the problems that owning a property with large improvements (airport, lake, open countryside, etc.). I built an airport’ on a ranch that I managed back in the Seventies. It was 2640’ by 75’ at 3200’ above sea level. It worked well for our aircraft. We had both fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Our problem was keeping people from making unauthorized landings and running all around the ranch. Our ranch was very private by design. The owner was quite wealthy and he didn’t want any unauthorized people on his property. My job was to keep them off among many other things. I marked the runway with large X’s making it a closed runway. That mostly stopped people from landing but occasionally someone would and say they didn’t understand what the large X was for. Normal BS. Good luck with your projects. Best Regards from an old man in his seventies.

I'm so excited for the newly purchased land. The airstrip is so "hell ya" and the land with the lake access, very smart move. The house build has got me fired up too. Again Cleetus, I'm so proud of you young man and the choices you have made in the last few years. God bless you, your beautiful family and the whole McFarland crew. Love and Peace.
