  • I recall hearing Rick Stanley preach in Tampa Florida shortly after his conversion. A fiery evangelist. Many young people responded. He passed in 2019, a real stand up kind of guy.

This man looks like every tv evangelist from 1980 to 2000

Nobody gets the situation Elvis was in. Not even those who were near to him. Everybody judging, forming their opinions from where they are standing. Joan Rivers was famous but not famous in the way Elvis was. NOBODY went through the kind of fame Elvis did. Elvis said it all when he sang TAKE A WALK IN MY SHOES!

Elvis was a grown man and made the money. He was gonna do what he wanted or you can leave. Only person ever had any real power over him, his mother. And she was gone.

Some things are better left unsaid.

Sometimes people give so much of themselves to others. And ,lose theirselves. Me,personally,I believe Elvis endured alot more hurt than we'll ever know. I loved Elvis and I really wish he was still around.

Elvis.. the greatest entertainer in history of the world..Period...and guess what..he is in heaven enjoying the presence of the Lord...
  • Joan Rivers was famous but not nearly as famous as Elvis. Joan Rivers never had people throwing themselves at her to get a kiss or more… Let’s not judge the man for his few flaws, when he did so much good for so many people in his brief life. Elvis was an extremely kind, generous and wonderful human being.
  • What was not discussed here is that, shortly before his death, Elvis had decided to completely straighten out his life. His confidant Larry Geller was going to move to Hawaii with Elvis and introduce Elvis to a vegetarian diet; Elvis was going to detox, work out and take at least one full year away from show business. No tours. Nothing. The plan was to do that after the final tour that never was (August '77). Lamar Fike has also confirmed this.

I respect that all the Memphis Maphia (Elvis’s inner circle) after his death protected his legacy. There were comments negative of what the Stanley boys had stated. We have seen through out the years that Stanleys most accounts were correct. Rick did a great job of telling the truth while at the same time respecting his half brother. God bless you Rick and RIP.
  • As a recovering addict myself (8 years clean this January 15th) An addict can usually always tell themselves this needs to stop, but saying & doing is 2 different things. I think someone like Elvis with all the money and power he had would have a harder time getting clean. See Ricky's access and money stopped so it makes it easier for one to get clean. In my opinion. Nevertheless though I'm and happy he changed his life. I'm happy for anyone who can overcome this difficult disease.

    R. I. P. Rick. Thank you for loving your brother Elvis.
  • Ricky loved Evis. I could tell with all the things said about Elvis, he wanted ppl. to see how human & real the man was. Elvis was his family , his brother & a truly caring & loving & incredible man.

It says a lot about Elvis that he was so good to the Stanley boys, because he was very upset that his daddy would get remarried so quickly after his mother's death. He moved Vernon and Dee out of Graceland and bought them a house in the neighborhood because he couldn't stand Dee. Read Rick's book, "Touch of Two Kings." Also see this link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCCAW7A6eC8 As for Priscilla, she did put up with a lot, but she obviously knew that going in. Some very close to Elvis (Marty Lacker and other employees) have said Elvis did not want to get married and made no bones about it, but was pressured into doing it under threat of breach of promise. Not a good way to start a marriage. Sad.

Based on the research and statements I have heard, Ricky wasn’t even there. According to him and other accounts, he was wasted with a girl in a hotel room and once he found out rushed to Graceland only to bust out of the back door crying and screaming that he killed Elvis. Not saying he did kill Elvis or anything but, this isn’t accurate according to him and everyone else. In my opinion based on the countless books and medical expertise opinions I truly believe Elvis died from the enlarged intestine being blocked for a very long time. When he strained his blood pressure bottomed out and could not climb back up in time or get his heart rate back up and went into cardiac arrest. Just my theory
  • I also want to add that I believe Elvis would of loved and admired the man his brother became.

Linda was Wonderful to Elvis And even saved his life a few times, when Elvis would choke on his food while he was eating it, he would often fall asleep while eating food when he had taken his medication just before eating , and Linda saved his life on several Occasions having to clear his throat of the food he was choking on, Linda as stated this on many occasions , and it’s in her book, She would of been great fore Elvis, But that was Elvis fore you,
