As a foreigner I totally can't comprehend how Americans are so focused on blaming either side for "inflation". This is a global phenomenon, and from what I understood from my time in school and university is that monetary policy is completely up to the FED/ECB etc to counteract with tightening and/or loosen/increasing/decreasing spending and interest rates. I mean, come on: what is a President supposed to do against a global inflation due to shortages/pandemics and wars?
