  • My heart goes out to Paddy. No parent should have to bury his child. So sorry for your loss Paddy.

"When someone loses a close relative there actions may not be fully understood ." Wise words.

To me it's the grief and the shock. Trauma. And how absolutely he loved his son. I understand him.
  • You have to admire this guys honesty...and in a crazy way it sounds like the ultimate in love for your child

  • @Jamsnaxx
That is deep. Takes a man to admit that in front of an audience but it also shows how dear he holds his family.

RESPECT, I TOTALLY GET THIS IRISH TRAVELLER, DRINKING THE BLOOD OF HIS SON MIGHT BE CONSIDERED BAD BY SOME PEOPLE BUT HE DID THAT AS A WAY TO KEEP HIM WITH HIM FOREVER, LOVE

It is not an uncommon thing to happen amazingly enough. You can see he's heart broken

You can see he's in pain from it but imagine walking into the hospital ward and seeing someone scranning on a baby

I understand how people might think this is nasty, but if you think about what he feels it stands for, and just how disgusting it is, and the fact that he was willing to do it as an honor to his son, shows he really loved him.
  • @garry5257
I can totally relate to that. Very very sad it shows how much he loves his son.

A very ancient celtic custom, bearing in mind the celts were warrior folk unlike we are today. Blood and flesh was normal to be around, to see and touch. Sometimes it was done during sacrificial ceremony, for divination, or medicinal health, other times in grief to bring the virtue of the deceased upon the drinker.

im not a travelor but i am a mother who almost lost my son and i can understand the sheer despair that would make you do this !
  • Paddy Thats the life of a deep bonding love, Having those thoughts and doing that is the just part of a deep person, Bless your little angel.
  • What a good man, he's at the peak of being a solid man, for those who do not understand why, don't waste your time asking. For a man to consume a part of he's son in the manner this man did is a way of keeping him, loving him and holding on to he's son. It's clear that's he's heart broken wow Paddy Doherty you sir are a true man, one the world needs more of, one who lives with honour and pride and would gives he's life to preserve others. Good man
  • What Paddy did can't be truly understood as to why he did it unless you are a parent yourself! i have so much respect for Paddy!
