FUN FACT: apparently in the original tale, Moses had a speech impedment and had his brother do most of the talking for him.
  • @thegtopia96
i’m still baffled this movie was made by the same company who made goddamn Trolls 💀
  • @Maribro4
God I miss when animators were allowed to put their heart and passion into movies
  • I still don’t get why some people won’t give this movie a chance, just because it has to do with God. That's like me refusing to watch Hercules just because the Greek gods are in it.
  • @MildlyPerturbed
Fun fact: When DreamWorks was working on this movie, they were working on Shrek at the same time. If the animators slacked off making this movie, they would send them to work on Shrek instead as a punishment, which they called getting “Shreked!”
  • @MildlyPerturbed
When they made this movie, they consulted Jewish, Muslim, and Christian scholars, which is why the movie contains elements from all three Abrahamic religions. They put a lot of effort into this movie, and it shows! At the end of the credits, quotes about Moses from the Hebrew Bible, New Testament, and Quran also appear!

The fact that Kor makes the most jokes during this movie while the others are more subdued is so funny to me. Kor finds a moment to let his Testament knowledge shine and he grabs it by the throat. Man was Not afraid to make some sacriligeous jokes
  • He WHISTLES the song his mom sang as he walks around the palace. He literally DOES remember. This movie is too detailed(in a good way)

”The Old testament is where all the f*cking baby murder is and that’s like the most lit part” - Kor, Spilling The Milk, 2024
  • The Prince of Egypt The Road to El Dorado Atlantis: The Lost Empire All underrated animated films!

Just to give you an idea of how hard the animators went for this movie, the gorgeous 4 minute Red Sea sequence took them 2 YEARS to animate (that’s some insane dedication)
  • @GoofymanHGlover
The fact this channel can go from reacting to Madagascar to The Prince of Egypt in a day.
  • As a Christian, I think this film is a perfect way to show other people the Bible.
  • @Scribblemations
I'm suprised that when they showed God the 3 guys didn't instantly burn into ash
  • @emihawkins
It’s honestly crazy how stacked the cast of this movie is. Val Kilmer as Moses, Ralph Finnes as Rameses, Sandra Bullock, Jeff Goldblum, the list goes on!
  • @MadYunie00
I saw this in the theater. At the end of the movie I remember my uncle telling me that after it was going to be the Ten Commandments. I thought it was the title of the sequel, I waited for it for years.

"damn, i didn't know god had a sound board" got me dieing 😂

I'm an atheist, and I love this movie. Idec. Dreamworks should've done more of these man. In an alternate universe, dreamworks did the entire bible and moved onto other religious mythologies outside of Christianity, and also did the "The Road to..." series that they planned to as like a side project. We would be eating so good.

This is one of those movies where just everything is incredible. The animation is still unparalleled nearly 30 years later, the entire voice cast is killing it, Hans Zimmer are putting in career best music. Val Kilmer's of course awsome, but Ralph Finnes' Ramses is legitimately one of the best written villain characters ever, let alone in animation.

This is definitely loved by critics and audiences alike. I could even show this movie to my parents, and they would love it. I’m just saying, if you ever want to play a movie at church, definitely play this one. It’s so authentic.
