If anyone is wondering how to make the pads cut each other... As in stop playing sound as soon as another pad is hit (to prevent overlaps when messing with different patterns), set each pad's "Out" to 1.

Owned a Sp12 snd Sp1200. I moved on but i always told my brother how much I miss it. Then this! It’s a dream - the price is too great! I love it
  • @gazfunk
I'm digging it. it adds a nice crunch to your samples. The samples on there own are worth the price. No brainer this one.

Great review! I bought this a few days ago. Is it an authentic SP1200 sound? No. Is it a useful sound that’s very similar? Yes! I’m a fan of it. When I insert an instance of the IK multimedia tape collection plugin (specifically the Tascam 388 emulation), it adds even more depth. Highly recommend the RX1200!

Rx 1200 is the best 1200 I’ve ever heard in vst form

I bought this two weeks ago. It's pretty damn good for a Drum Vst. First thing I did when I loaded it up was finger drum all the kits. That last kit you played had me like " ain't nothin but a gangsta parrrty.. parrrrty". I really hope they improve on the functionality if they do a 2.0 or something. Damn good sounds.

Thank you for the vid, love the channel! There's also a free plugin called Dystroyed I use for SP-1200 emulation. The plugin is kinda meant to go super hard in the bitcrush paint, but if you do an INNIT patch and set the bitrate to 12, and the sample rate to 26.04 kHz.... boom, SP-1200. At first I went nuts and used it on everything, but now I mainly use it on hi-hats and snares, gives them a really pleasant top end bite most of the time.
  • The out is for assigning the 8 pads to go out to 8 channels in your daw. Also you can still chop the sample. Just do it like you would if you copied a pad in the MPC and copied that sample to 4 or more pads. Then go into each pad and adjust start and stop points. It’s tedious but you can get some good results. No plugin is an exact 1 to 1 as far as sound goes compared to hardware. But this motherfucker is pretty dope.

Finally, a new Inphonik plugin! And an SP1200 emulator, no less! Wooo!! Thanks for the heads-up, Ave!!!
  • @MrSunnyBra
This thing sounds f$&@en incredible. And the DAW VST integration is what I’ve been hoping for for years
  • @WarrenPostma
Ave is the review king for plugins and gear. Hilarious but also informative.
  • I love it that you limited with the original oldskool workflow, limitation is a bliss in our endless Daw environment playground
  • @S7V7N_SEAS
The drum kits in this VST sound amazing.

Important -- when you assign multiple sounds to the same "out", and set polyphony to 1 -- that's how you have one sound cut another... Hi-hats for example, so your closed hat can cut your open hat.

I have the ESPI app of this on my Galaxy Tab S6 it's OK I had an SP1200 on use plenty back in the day my mate had one but these days I prefer to make my beats through a DAW just so much options at your hand...keep up the good work my man.
  • @Degreeees
I brought this after seeing your vid homie, thanks fam. For anyone complainin' about this at $30, they just hatin' just to hate 🤷🏾‍♂️
  • @Suburbstudio
Yooo, the „Out“ u mentioned with knowing what it does: if u open the plugin with multiple outputs (9 stereo) you can assign individual outputs to which ever sound u like…this way u could put effects on snare or hat bur not on kick….works super dope in logicx
