Take a spin in this 1977 #ferrari 308 GT4 with Guy

Published 2024-06-17
While UK-registered in November 1981, this 2926cc Ferrari 308 GT4 was manufactured in 1977. Since 1981, it has had three registered keepers. Its odometer shows 93,640 miles and its last MoT expired in February 2023 after having been tested the previous year at an indicated 93,592 miles. However, as an historic vehicle, the Ferrari is now MoT-exempt. It was restored in 2010. The vendor describes the car as running well, albeit with a weak second gear synchromesh when cold and the sunroof not working. The air conditioning also requires regassing. With its timing belts replaced in June 2024, the Ferrari was driven 90 miles to the auction.

Paperwork includes the V5C and book pack, with owner's manual, dealership directory and service book. There's also many invoices dating back to the 1980s, a workshop manual, spare parts catalogue, tool kit and spare keys.

  • I owned two of these. Great cars and a good intro into Ferrari ownership.

A beautiful car, in every way. 😘

I had a 1975 GT4 from mid-80s until the later 90s. It was an early US spec car so it had some “Dino” badging (front bonnet and steering wheel center) and some prancing horse badging…it also had the hideous US-required 5 mph bumpers…those really defeated the crisp clean exterior styling. But it was a great car for city streets, rural backroads and highway cruising. Best of luck with the sale of that red beauty! I’ll be watching from here in the USA.
