Learning and education are fundamental and important in today's society and becoming increasingly more accessible and convenient online. The availability of important information which is also entertaining helps everyone grow mentally and emotionally as people, both individually and as a whole.

This thought-provoking documentary tells the story of a British man Alex Skeel, who survived an abusive relationship with his girlfriend, and leads to a wider discussion of masculinity, the complex nature of relationships, and stereotypes about abuse and domestic violence.

The film dives into the relationship Skeel had with his then-girlfriend Jordan Worth through interviews with Skeel and his family and friends. It paints a picture of an average man who for years endured a form of unthinkable, raw violence, both physical and mental, that is infrequently told from a male victim point of view. It demonstrates how Skeel's livelihood was slowly slipping away and how even family and friends had no idea what was happening.

The documentary portrays a teenage romance that slowly warped into something else entirely, using police testimony to showcase Skeel's suffering from one of the most severe domestic violence cases the police department had ever seen. By sharing his story, Skeel hopes to challenge assumptions about violence and masculinity in relationships, and to empower victims of domestic violence to come forward.

In April 2018, Jordan Worth was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison. She became the first female in the UK to be convicted of coercive and controlling behavior. As of 2022, Worth was released from prison. PLEASE LIKE, SHARE AND COMMENT.

Remember this is not about men vs women, it’s about abusers vs the abused. Men and women need to stand together against abuse regardless of gender.

Tormented him for years, torturing him and almost killing him daily, and she gets out after 4 years. That's just disgusting.

The cop who finally caught on and helped Alex is an actual hero and a great man. The way he criticized himself for not seeing it earlier is very telling of his character

If you’ve never been in a relationship and in love with a malignant narcissist, you won’t understand until you do.

Anyone who says this man is weak because he was abused by a woman doesn’t know what true strength and bravery really is. Bless you and your beautiful babies Alex. ❤

That policeman is a real hero. He was able to get through to Alex while no one in his life could. He very well saved his life. I hope he lives the rest of his life in pure bliss and happiness.

What I find most frightening about this sad case is the amount of love and support he had around him and still fell victim to this sick cruel manipulator. I’m aware many don’t have that. So glad he managed to escape alive and has his babies and loving family around him. Hopefully he will meet someone wonderful to share his life with so he can experience a loyal, loving , fulfilling relationship which is what he deserves. Very brave to share his story I hope he’s helping others.

The fact that she falsified his identity on social media to push everyone who cared away even more. Absolutely wretched
  • This brought me to tears when I saw that Jordan was the first woman ever sentenced on those charges. Are we all blind? There are many men who are abused. We need to help them to seek justice. Please guys, if you are being abused, reach out to someone you trust. Insist that your voice be heard by the authorities.

I’m so happy that officer realized what was going on and didn’t let it go until he found out the truth. He saved Alex’s life

Praise the Lord this man got out! Abuse is abuse. I’m a DV survivor myself. I don’t care if your male of female. When your broken, your broken. This man HAS SO MUCH COURAGE!! To speak out and help other men. Even though I’m a women, men and women need to see this.

Hats off to the officer who didn't budge untill he told the truth of what's happening. So many officers who turn a blind eye at domestic/violent abuse

This isn’t just domestic violence. It’s down right torture of a human being.
  • i was in an emotionally abusive relationship before. Some comments on here are blaming him for allowing that situation. but the reality is when you are in the middle of it, they make it seem that there is no outside world, like you can only stay in a little box. it’s hard to escape. luckily i had my mum who said to me “you can be with him and have a life like this or you can leave him and there is a new life waiting for you”. at that moment, i left. it felt safe to leave. the next day, i went out. for the first time i felt what freedom was. i wore the clothes that i want. i did what i want with no contact. I can’t forget the feeling of sitting in the car with my mum, the sun, in an outfit i wanted to wear. it’s hard to overcome, but now i’m in the most loving, safe relationship
  • This is a great example of how hard it is to leave an abuser. The “why you can’t leave” is so very complicated. So glad you finally got away from her Alex. Keep your kids far away from her forever. The children were also abused in that they were witnesses to such horrific events, and who’s to say she wouldn’t one day start physically abusing them.
  • Thank you to the neighbors who made the first call. Thank you for “getting involved” and helping save his life. We are all here to take care of each other. Simple.
  • @khfan4life365
She’s not just abusive. She’s a psycho. She tortured him. She almost killed him.
  • @Sikanda.
The double standard of abuse is slowly getting recognized but there's still a stigma in our society regarding the validity of male victims testimonies.
