Alternate title: “David Stern’s Most Rigged Moments”
  • @jennielifts
It doesn’t surprise me how most of this controversial moments goes in favor of the Lakers.
  • @EDC98
Me: Wow, the NBA is rigged. NFL fans: First time?
  • @lolomo5787
David Stern loves Shaq so much he rigged drafts and games in his favor.

You missed one of the biggest and most obvious fix jobs in NBA history: the Sonics vs Suns WCF game 7 in 93. Suns shot SIXTY FOUR freethrows that game because the NBA needed the Barkley/Jordan finals matchup. In fact, promos for barkley vs jordan had already been filmed, what a coincidence!

So many 'rigged things' in favor of Shaquille O'Neal in this one...
  • @paulk6399
Stern: why would I put myself and the league in those kinds of legal troubles? Me: ...because that’s what criminals do? High risk higher reward

I still think to this day that if Draymond green didn't get suspended in game 5 of the 2016 NBA finals they warriors would have won that series and Kevin Durant would have never gone to Golden state.

Fun fact: my mom actually pierced Mike Bibby's ears at Claire's

when someone defends themselves by saying "why would I do that?" instead of just "I didn't do that" it's a huge red flag
  • The "JailBlazers" era didn't begin until a year later with Shawn Kemp, and didn't really get into full swing until 2001-2002. Sure, the seeds were planted in 2000 with Rasheed, Stoudamire, and a young Bonzi Wells, but the additions of Kemp, Randolph, and esp. Rueben Patterson really added fuel to the fire. In 2000 they were still pretty nice boys.

The love of nba for lakers still alive till these days. TV ratings over fairness
  • The NBA has always fallen somewhere in between pro wrestling and a legit sport.

This should be called exposing David stern
  • @KrolKaz
There is ZERO legal risk to rigging NBA games. Stern flat out lied. They can fix all the games they want, legally they are structured as "sports entertainment " , exactly like the WWE. Are you going to sue the WWE for "rigging" Wrestlemania? 🤣😅

You can't watch the NBA and not see that the refs are very active in trying to keep games close and favoring certain teams depending on what the "story" of the season is supposed to be. There are fouls and penalties on virtually every possession in the ticky-tack era we live in (same with the NFL). All a ref has to do is pick one of those borderline situations and call a penalty to keep things close or favor one of the teams, it's as simple as that.

“The GM was not allowed to make a trade” But the main role of GM is to make moves for the team
