This deadass felt like a finale. I deadass don’t think I have ever seen a villain in any media that makes me fear for other characters lives more than homelander. Literally every time he is on screen I feel like he is gonna kill somebody. Even when he isn’t like when A train went to get the V I was scared for his life

Barbara came in there because she thought that their way of controlling Homelander would still work. They have to talk to him in a dismissive way, to show their disapproval. It's literally the only way you can talk to him (of course, he won't take that from just anyone), because they made sure it is. But it doesn't work anymore, and the first time she realizes that is when he refuses to go to her office.

What I love about Homelander is the way he commands a room. Not just in the show, in real life. Watched a lot of reactions and most people DO NOT TALK when he's on screen, or at most will whisper, as if they themselves are scared to know what he'd do if he heard them. Anthony Starr needs an Emmy, now.

I don't think Frenchie was trying to hurt Colin on purpose, but Frenchie is emotionally scarred and very vulnerable, and that weakness leads him to making bad decisions.

Pretty much everyone can agree that homelander is a great villain, we love the character but hate the person that character is. Something I’ve noticed is the difference in male and female reactors when it comes to homelander. Women reactors seem to show their dislike for the person that homelander is a lot more than male reactors. This is the one show where I’m really interested in seeing people’s reactions and this is definitely something I’ve noticed and it doesn’t seem to be a bias gender thing because women reactors showed more disgust at stormfront than male reactors did as well. It seems male reactors are less likely to make commentary that injects their moral values on the person that character is than women are. Not saying men or women are better when it comes to this but it’s just interesting. I’ve seen so many male reactors simp for stormfront and firecracker and I have not watched one reaction channel where a chick is simping for homelander, they are just focused on how much of a gross piece of shit homelander is as a person with their commentary lol. There’s liking /disliking the character as in entertainment value and liking/disliking the person that character is, male reactors seem to be more about the first and women reactors more about the second. Male reactors seem more likely to show they are enjoying the character of the villains, laugh with, compliment and show any sympathy to homelander and the villains for entertainment value than women are even though the men and women reactors would pretty much equally agree that they are pieces of shit.

I dated a New Zealand woman for a while and her older brother worked on the set on a New Zealand tv series called outrageous fortune. He said Antony starr was so nice to him and all people who worked on the production. He said Antony noticed he was depressed and went out of his way to cheer him up and help him out. It’s amazing to see how far his career has come. Interesting how this huge American show has two kiwis leading the way, a country of just 5 million people. If you watch him in interviews and promotion videos on YouTube with his cast mates you can hardly recognize him, it’s like a totally different person, he’s so cute with his glasses and scarfs. Those clips of him with chase Crawford are jarring because he looks scrawny next to the deeps actor and it’s funny how he’s the more silly sweet goofy one and Chance is the more serious and intimidating one.

Starlight has gone full bully January mode during this episode. She just couldn't get rid of her mean girl behavior.

Fun fact: The scene of Homelander's birth that Barbra describes is lifted straight from the comics. Its a pretty nice detail tbh
