Slab cutting, testing new driveshaft and vice hack plus wing mirror, warning abrupt ending.

Published 2019-05-24
Part two, loretone slab saw vice mod and light reflecting mirror, cutting the slab and testing trueness of the blade after making and fitting a new stainless steel driveshaft on new pillow block bearings, I had no tools for alignment so it was all done by eye, sorry for the abrupt ending.

  • Sorry for the abrupt ending, the mirror reflects the light into the window giving a better view of the blade and cutting progress. Cutting a slice of sunset jasper. Thank you for watching, I appreciate all of you and your comments.
  • Mate, you’re a legend. And a master craftsmen. Not just at stone work but also machinery. Brilliant dude! It’s a thing of beauty!!!!

Good job on the mods. Looks professional. Looking over your setup, I am a bit surprised to see teeth on your blade. I tried that and found it tended to break the rock, especially towards the tail end of the cut. I know that you know what you are doing, so there must be a good explanation. ;-)
