To this day I'm still so crushed they fumbled the ball on his contract and let him go before his time was up. The man could read the field as if it was in slow motion! I still cant understand why he wasn't in more origins/ rep games. The thing that disappoints me most of all is that the man only played for the one club in his entire NRL career and they let him go just before the 2015 Grand final victory. He deserved to be there in that team more than anyone! Sorry for the rant, apparently this great video stirred up a few emotions haha. He will always be the greatest fullback in my eyes, Love ya Bowen!

Matty Bowen, Matty Sing, Ty Williams. That was a pretty deadly back three.

Matty bowen was an insanely underrated player and it shows with this video somehow only getting 5000 views so far. People talk of Andrew Johns’ legacy and Billy Slaters’ legacy but i think he was a better player than both. No one could do what he was doing and he has all aspects of his game covered. Its a shame that he doesnt get more recognition cause he was insanely good at footy.

I was 6 years old when Matt Bowen made his debut was 7 when I first took notice of him, by age 9 I was mimicking his play style and every second word that was coming out of my mouth was Matt Bowen this Matt Bowen that he made me love the game of rugby league he made me love sports and he made me a NQL and QLD supporter through and through even got a picture with him when i was playing for caloundra u/11's. They said no signatures or anything but Matty begged the coaching staff I remember it all like it was yesterday and still to this day I love Matty Bowen and always will cherish the times I watched him play from the bottom of my heart I cannot thank this man enough for all he has done for the rugby league community!

Commentators keep saying how good is he....? Well I think they know that he's probably one of the best players they've ever seen! Definitely the most exciting!!

Still the GOAT in my books and the most incredible player to ever wear the Cowboys Jersey.

He is the most down to earth most humble man you will ever meet. He is doing great things in our community and he’s is a stand up guy who is very approachable (unlike other footy players in town *cough cough *) and definitely one of the best

I played against Matty B in local league when he was 17. We knew he was something else. Matty was like a light to many. He just Brightened up your week for so many years. How many players can we really say we're that electric? Only a handful. But Matty Bowen at his Best was the G.O.A.T. He could have played for Australia/ Qld many times if it wasn't for Slater's consistency. Matty was a super freak. He embarrassed the best of players. He was the man. And a gentleman as well. If someone can find the footage he scored against the Broncos. Where he beat like 8 players to score. Just unbelievable

This guy to many people was the most exciting player to ever play league hands down, he should’ve been Australian fullback, he outclassed outscored Slater for 3 years, he is the Christian Cullen of league GOAT

I knew he was a great player, but I didn't expect his highlight reel to be this outrageous. What an amazing player. There were some great fullbacks in his generation, but this guy has to be right near the very top of that list.

Well what more would anyone want? He should have played for Australia. Absolute game changer. None could stop him. Some these days have the similar energy enthusiasm and never give up attitude, but they don't have his speed and big step off both sides, and the faith in knowing that he is going to score.
