Developed and published by Sega in 1990

Another classic Sega arcade release that happens to be a collaboration with the King of Pop himself.

In gameplay terms the concept is sound enough, but the isometric perspective makes it a lot harder to hit enemies than you might think.

Added to the fact that many of the later enemies are total damage sponges, it ends up being far less enjoyable than I'd hoped.

Even though this game is not groundbreaking, it holds a special place in my heart. My mom was one of those people that like video games as well, in fact most of my family. My mom was the one who told me about this game "It is so cool because you hear his music in the game!". We where grocery shopping and saw that Smith's (Kroger) had Moonwalker in the arcade in front of the store. "Hold on before we leave, you got to see this game." she told me. So we park the grocery cart and play a through the first level and she tells me "I wonder how the rest of the game looks." So we spend a ungodly amount of quarters until we beat Mr. Big. We did not care that are ice cream that we bought was melting.

This was actually a great arcade game. So many quarters were used here....

This was actually pretty damn cool because not only was it a fun game, but it had Michael's actual soundtrack in there. Granted it's only a 32 bit system, it's still very much enjoyable!!!

I was pretty blown away by the graphics on this back in the day. Still a pretty quality game for the time and considering what an obscure title it is.

Those games were just unbelievably amazing at those years. I remember coming from school in 1993, jumping to my console and spending the happiest hours in my life in front of CRT TV screen.
  • Almost 20 years later, it's still difficult for me to believe sega exited the console business. And 10 years later it's also difficult to believe Michael is gone.

I'm not even a MJ fan but I find this so interesting to watch!

He wasn’t the man we deserved but he was the man we needed. RIP MJ. “Shatbonyah! hehe!”

Thanks for this, memories of being at a caravan park on holiday and getting up early to play Crazy Golf and then this when I could beg for some change from my Dad. I never did get past the final boss, but I did meet other kids playing this game in multiplayer, we absolutely loved it! Probably one of the best arcade games I ever played it was so cool! Great to finally see it all the way through!
  • Nobody better come between Michael and his children 😆🤣😂😹
  • @Arrinao
The children are smiling, because deep down in their hearts they know, that one day Michael will return to share with them another wondrous and magical adventure. LOL :D
