He designed of the Şahi artilary as an engineer, which was high tech for the time period and played a critical role in Constantinople conquest. Invited the scientist of the age in Istanbul and took care of them. He was named as the Caesar of the Rome as he intended to rebuild Rome. He studied astronomy, math, geography, art, invited Gentile Bellini from italy, got himself a portrait painted. He was a great Commander and leader. He was a ginius and an intellectual. Even the prophet of the Islam (Hz.Muhammed SAW) gave him compliments who lived 800 years before his age, about his conquest on Constantinople. "Verily you shall conquer Constantinople. What a wonderful leader will her leader be, and what a wonderful army will that army be!"...

    I am romanian and despite the fact that our country has been in war with the ottomans for a long period of our history ,we have big respect for Sultan Mehmet and Ottoman Empire. He was a true leader , blessed to rule over an incredibile empire and he changed the history. About the ottoman force what can i say ? Masterpiece ! Love from Romania !

    Even though I may not share the same faith as Mehmed the conqueror, since I am a Roman Catholic. I still admire ambitious and pious people including him who throughout history take risks to become a legend. I was always fascinated by the Sultans Mehmed and Saladin.

    As a history fan, I have always admired the accomplishments of Fatih Mehmed ll. Few people in history have the title of Conqueror and he was worthy of that title. He strove to make Constantinople and the ottoman empire a multicultural, multi religious, wealthy kingdom. He was a one of a kind leader, the Turks were lucky to have him.

    The actor who played the role of Mehmed was amazing. He brought the character so lively. Kudos to directors of this series too. Story telling was amazing. Great team work. One of the best epic i have ever seen till now.
