I had a rental 2024 X5 and then came home and ordered the X5 50e. Best vehicle I have ever owned. My interior is a matte finished wood with a coffee interior it changes the whole vibe.

Je me souviens is basically "I/we remember" in reference to the sacrifice of our soldiers in the various wars

I test drove the 50e and was very impressed by the interior quality, smoothness, and linear torque present throughout the entire powerband. Best SUV on the market for sub 100K

I rented a new 2024 X5 for my vacation a few days ago. I also own a new 2024 Lexus. The X5 was better. Not by alot, but it was definitely better. It was SO fast, quiet, the sound system was phenomenally good and the mild hybrid worked well. Also the best feature I liked about it was it would lock and unlock if you walked away from it or towards it. All that being said, I can confirm the Lexus quality and reliability is a real thing. The engine is buttery smooth and will probably last forever. So the question is do you want a flashy, fun, fast car with questionable reliability or do you want a buttery smooth engine with ok everything but with INFINITE reliability. This may be cliche but, the BMW is great for a lease or rental, Lexus for purchasing and owning.

The X5, X7 and 5-Series, 7-Series are the only German vehicles I think that have interiors that actually match their asking price, unlike most of Audi's and Mercedes.

If I'm paying to keep these cars longer than 3-5 years then it's Lexus for me. You'll end up paying half the cost of the BMW comes maintenance time.

I feel the test was done wrong , the comparison should be Lexus RX500h vs BMW X5 50e

The seats in the X5 are terrific! My wife has the same colors in hers too and miraculously even with two little kids it still looks factory fresh (apparently BMW does a ceramic coating on its interior as part of the protection package)

I’m a Mercedes fan and long time customer and if I had to pick, it’s the BMW for me!

I’m glad I didn’t get the hybrid. I got the regular four banger turbo and there’s absolutely nothing slow about it. Paid 51k out the door here in North Florida.
