This is the Ultra Luxury 2020 Rolls-Royce Phantom, and it meets a cheaper Phantom that costs $500K less, a 2004 Phantom VII. Both are rear-wheel drive, both have V12s, and both are kings in their time. But can the old one stack up, and is the new one worth the premium? James and Thomas jump behind the wheel of both to experience them and discuss them inside and out. Watch and enjoy. SUBSCRIBE!

"Your mum's Bentley is on a lease" Life is hard on the lower end of the richest 2%.

Fun fact, both cars may feel similar in softness while on the road, but that's because Roll Royce made the new one that soft the testing staff was getting motion sickness because it glided too well, so they had to add some feel back into it.
  • Most of the benefit Rolls-Royce offers in their new vehicles is customization. Buyers can select from thousands of colors or make up a new colors palette that they own the rights to. All throughout the vehicle, buyers can customize elements like the dash, seats, and other parts of the interior.

"How does it feel being my driver James" "How does it feel that your life is in my hands?"

that awkward moment when your car costs HALF the price of the Roll's Royce's clock...

I really love the old straight Grills, specially how the slopes are so sharp and the spirit of ecstacy sitting at the top, makes the old RR look more mean and elegant at the same time as RR are supposed to look like. With that black gangster vibes interior, i am sure the owner was a mob boss!

I love the dynamic of these two!...much respect from Zimbabwe 🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼

It's funny because 99% of people can't tell the difference between the two. They'll see a 2005 Phantom with 200,000 miles that costs 50 grand and be like "whoa!, that guy must be rich".

Idk but I am IN LOVE with the older Phantom 7s.... That MASSIVE grille, those headlights... it has much much more presence than the Phantom 8
  • Having spotted a pair of old, "beater" Rolls-Royce's partially hidden behind a garage in my neighborhood is what brought me here.

Honestly those aftermarket rims on the 04 could've been what was making the road noise worse than the 2020.
  • What's impressive is even if you purchase that old RR from a dealer, they will perform a mechanical evaluation prior to purchase and give you a 3 year warranty on all of the components of the vehicle -even if it's 15 years old. Talk about having confidence in your product.
  • I’m watching this again after almost 3 years, and I JUST picked up James reaction to Thomas’s statement at 11:33 ~ 11:34 😭😂
  • Did James spit out a silver spoon at the very beginning? 😂 That's frickin' hilarious 👏
  • @skrrrrrrr2972
I've got one of those! I'm talking about the spoon.

I like to have you clips play in the background - I stumbled on this one - well, the autoplay did, but when you were driving in the new RR, I literally thought you weren't moving and were just inside talking about it. I was stunned to have it revealed that they were on the move...
