  • It's good that you raised the point that the ticket is the equivalent of the transportation and hotel cost, many miss this point when comparing the price of sleeper trains to other options.

I don't know if anyone else has already said this but the pillow spray is a form of aromatherapy that is designed to help you sleep better. A lot of pillow sprays usually have lavender in them, which is a scent that is supposed to assist with calming you and helping you sleep better.
  • I am watching this during the Quarantine and thoroughly enjoying them. Makes me feel like I've gone on a trip instead of being stuck inside.

My five year old daughter loves your train videos. I don't know if that's your intended audience--but during these quarantine days she's enjoyed taking train trips with you. You've inspired her to want to ride the Caledonian! Thanks for making these! Also, she's a big fan of the bathroom tours.

Pillow Spray is to scent your pillow as aromatherapy giving you the very nice relaxing peaceful sleep ;-) and nice vdo !
  • I love travelling by train in Scotland, i live here and we quite often take a train down to Glasgow as opposed to a bus or driving and it never ceases to amaze me how beautiful the world right outside my door can be.

You’re so kind and genuine 😭 I’ve been having really severe panic attacks lately but these videos and your energy is such a positive distraction, thank you for creating!

That nice Scottish "tartan," laddie, is actually Herringbone.
  • @ab4113
Remember, this was booked the night before, so if you book in advance - two weeks or more, you will get the train / room for half that price

Pillow spray: it's for people who can't sleep easily; so, they spray the pillow with the spray for smelling fragrances which help them to sleep...
  • @andrewelie8687
If you are sensitive to scents in pillow spray, use it to spray into your shoes to eliminate odors. that works too.
  • 07:11 To help out with services. The Caledonian Sleeper is actually 2 trains. The Highland and the Lowland. The Highland sleeper calls at London, Watford Junction (northbound only), Crewe and Preston. It then runs to Edinburgh where it splits into 3. Aberdeen, Inverness and Fort William. The service is pick up only towards Scotland and drop off only towards London (IE no travelling from Preston to London) The Lowland sleeper calls at London & Watford. It then splits at Carstairs. 1 portion for Glasgow Central and the other for Edinburgh.

This is so lovely to see. I work for Caledonian Sleeper here in Edinburgh, glad to see you had a nice time!
  • What an awesome train! But not surprised you enjoyed it ~ Scotland has the greatest rail system for travel & sightseeing. Everyone should visit Scotland, at least once in their lives. I spent a month on trains backpacking around the country a few years ago - best time of my life! Left London to Edinburgh, then up to Inverness & the Highlands; then west & out to sea (by ferry) to the Hebrides. It was all daylight travel & the views were spectacular. The Aurora Borealis was visible & the islands were a beautiful wonderful surprise ~ a tropical looking paradise, in the middle of nowhere. But my fondest memory was simply just sitting back, sipping tea & munching shortbread cookies, while watching the landscape change at every turn. Scotland makes train travel very easy & enjoyable - go! :)

The hour boarding is a great idea. So relaxing and good to get all set up in peace. These new carriages are beautiful.
  • @sammygirl5835
When all this madness is over, come back to the UK and ride the GWR Night Riviera sleeper from London to Penzance.
  • @rysnyder
Adding this to my travel list for when we can get back to normal life. Great content as usual. Keep up the good work, stay safe and hopefully we can travel soon!
  • @positivelybobby
$192 seems a complete steal. I’d do it in a heartbeat. Nice work, Mike.
  • I remember travelling on the sleeper train about 35 years ago. It was so exciting and I remember the courtesy free bottle of water. As a child this was one of my favourite and memorable holidays. So pleased they still run, thanks for sharing.
