I can't believe that you didn't mention that the Norman "French", who conquered England under William the Conqueror in 1066, were actually Danish Vikings who had been bought off by the French king and given Normandy ("land of the North men") 200 years earlier in exchange for agreeing not to invade France/Paris anymore. Those are my people!

My Grandfather was a Danish and my Grandmother was German on my Father side. My Mother’s Father was Irish and his Mother was German . The Family I was raised in was Wonderful with cousins and Aunts and Uncles all Blessings to Me. The state of American at this time causes Me Sadness and the State of the World is Truly Sad. The World of Today is Truly A Battle Field Between the Battle of Good and Evil

This is why English has so many old Danish words in it.

🔥Vikings loved their families and were loyal to those they loved and those who were loyal to them. They did what they had to do at the time. They just did it better

Off by 50-100 years on the birth of Vikings, my friend. Viking battle graveyard was found on the island of Saaremaa dating to around 650-700 A.D. All said though, i really enjoyed the video. Well done. Impressive how much info you managed to condense into such a short video.

The viking leader that attacked Paris name was Regnerus and no one knows if this is the same person as Ragnar Lodbrok, whos existence can't be proved.

Sigtrigr or stigtrigr was another beast of Danes who ran England until betrayed by the British of coarse

In an agricultural economy living in Denmark is akin to using cheat codes.

The Vikings may have appeared to be brutal, but perhaps they were just "misunderstood."

Great images, but there are so many errors in this video. It was not William the Conqueror who repelled the Danish invasion in 1066. It was Harold Godwinson, a Saxon, who successfully repelled Harald Hardrata and Tostig and their Danish and mercenary army. A few days later Harold Godwinson fought (and died) against William the Conqueror at the Battle of Hastings. And Trelleborg is not in Sweden, it's in Denmark. Several other discrepancies as well...
  • Sorry- have to hand it to the Norwegian vikings of Trondhem: our Norwegian family's ancestors. They bypassed Britain, hitting Ireland instead. Any vikiings represented a real threat, though.
