Funny how these guys try to sell you on what they want to. He said The 4Runner 6 cylinder is sluggish, not sluggish to me when I jump on my 2024 nautical blue runner she gets up😂

No thanks Toyota with the new JUNK V-6 turbos engine in the Tundra and probably Junk 4 cylinder turbo in the Tacoma and 4 Runner. Toyota is over pricing their vehicles way too far and loosing what made them reliability. I think the new 4 Runner body looks like somebody side swiped both side of the body. I think Toyota is going to lose a lot of the loyal customers with the path they are taking!

Glad I bought a 2023 4Runner. Solid engineering and all the issues worked out over several years. Simple engine, simple transmission, solid body, and enough tech for me (I hate new interiors, I don't want to drive a cellphone).

looks too much like tacoma. it needs its own identity. 5th gen will still be king

I believe it will have issues just like the new tundras engines. I will keep my 22 orp 4runner in army green till the wheels fall off

I get from A to point B fast enough with my beautiful 2024 forerunner and it toes my trailer really well

New colors are good. 4cyl engine - NO THNAKS, not for $65+k These engine are made in the same factory as the Tundra engine that are blowing up. Toyota is falling from grace. I don’t trust the engine. In three years we could be in a Tundra situation.

The V6 wasn’t the problem it was the 5 speed transmission that makes it feel slower than what it is. I have a 23 and doesn’t feel sluggish going up a mountain at all.

A small 4 cylinder turbo engine will never be as durable and long lasting than a larger naturally aspirated engine. It is physically not possible.

Jeff you aren’t considering the most important aspect of an engine… RELIABILITY. 4 cylinder turbo WILL BE junk in 100k miles. Go talk to a seasoned mechanic and get schooled.

Sadly tacoma is going down because of pricing and the no engine selection..so the 4runner gonna follow that path
