The problem is that the media isn't in the middle. If someone is objectively lying, it needs to be called out. And the media trying to be in the middle rather than looking for the truth is the problem.

The press has a responsibility to report the most truth they can uncover or learn, not to report the stories in a way they think it will get the most reaction.
