    I like how her deafness, somehow brings her closer to sound and makes her understand it in a different way. Very refreshing to be introduced to such a unique perspective.

    I just had a strange interest in her the first time I saw her talk on Ted. She is indeed inspiring and beautiful. Nothing is a barrier to achieving one's goal, all we need is persistence, focus and a positive mind set. I'm really encouraged with Christine's story. Job well done Kim 😊...

    Christine Kim (CK), est une artiste sonore, atteinte de surdité, née à New York en 1980. Le fait de ne pas entendre, de n'avoir jamais maîtrisé ni intégré de langage oral, lui permet de dépasser la signification des sons, et de les appréhender de manière physique — qu'il s'agisse de leurs effets sur la matière (sur l'air, les liquides, etc.) ou sur nous-mêmes (« Sound vibrations are visceral and internal in contrast to sign language »). Dès lors, parce que ce n'est pas un signe pour l'auditeur mais un phénomène qu'il doit ressentir comme il le peut, Kim se demande à qui, finalement, appartient un son.     I am amazed she does not have some actuating voice coils from old hard drives or those shaker devices for drummers to mount on their thrones or something like that, I almost wish i could send her mine, it would blow her mind.
