I use to come here everyday after school when I was a kid. Right after the video finished I went outside and shot at my hoop for hours. He helped me fall in love with the game of basketball. A legend gone too soon πŸ˜”πŸ’” #MambaOut
  • Everyone wanted to be like Mike. Kobe is the only one who ever did it.

Kobe has 32,482 points, 6112 assist, and 6,800 which is the stuff of legends. Its sad to see my favorite player and my inspiration career coming to an end like this(I hope we can make a run if he plays for at least another two years) but it is hard to not think of the great memories he has gave me. Its kind of a love-hate thing on how the game is evolving today as it is even faster than before but also softer. To me Kobe is the perfect example of a mesh between the 90's basketball I never got to witness and the 2005- years I love just as much as the old 80's and 90's highlights I watch. I remember the first time I seriously started watching basketball when I was six with my dad and espn was talking about Kobe's 81 point game. I didn't know much about ball but I knew that 81 points in one game was a big deal. I soon became a BIG not only Kobe fan but nba in general. I not only studied today's game but also the game before my time. I always rooted for the Lakers from the bad times when Smush Parker was getting minutes and the better times like when Pau was traded to us. I remember just 5 years ago when me and my class were taking sides on who would win out of Boston or L.A. and I knew Kobe had it in the bag. Kobe is a true inspiration and a legend to basketball.
