2023 recap and 2024 plans for the Sportwagen

I have a 2017 Golf Sportwagen 4motion that came with standard Halogen lights. Upgraded to the 7.5 replica LEDs. Should have done this years ago. I can’t believe how much of an aesthetic improvement it makes, plus it makes my LA canyon commuting more pleasant.

Im actually working on a track essentials tool kit (which will become an article/maybe video to go with it) to simplify my packing for events as well.

Awesome video, the Sportwagen is heavily slept on in my opinion by wagon enthusiasts and I only say that because there isn't to much content out there on them. Really like your channel especially your in depth exhaust video, just ordered the CTS 4/motion resonator delete kit and I have an IS38 waiting to go in once I find a suitable downpipe

"Airbag canceller?" I never knew what to call such a device. Please share about where to get one of those! I had made one for my Mk3 that I had adjusted to about 1-ohm. But also had read that 1-ohm does not work on the Mk7. I see a unit by Bride. Is that what you'd chase? I've considered a few outings without a passenger seat. Nice work on your car, BTW! Thanks!

I have a 19 GSW 4motion with the same Bilstein/H&R suspension as you plus other misc mods. Have you given any thought towards a full coilover setup like the Bilstein B16 PSS or the KWs? Combined with the Clubsport 55mm front knuckles (more camber, lighter) I think that would be a great track upgrade: lower ride height and more adjustment in the damping. Coils are my suspension endgame, but daily driving anything lower than the H&R sport springs in Denver would be a pain. Guess I need to buy another car for a daily lol. I think Osram headlights and a Mk7.5 GTI front bumper are the best front clip look for our cars, but looks are subjective. The Golf R and Clubsport bumpers open the possibility of a factory DSG cooler, another good track upgrade.

Well you really got the money out of the old brake discs lmao. You also said you're looking for a R bumper. Maybe look into a R-Line bumper, not sure if you can but here in Europe the R-Line bumper has front fog lights. Would be a nice retrofit and they can function as static turn lights!
