STORMTROOPERS (2023) - Episode 2: Siege

This is absolutely top notch work, it really is (as referred to by @hoiyulau in comments Best Film 2023) congratulations! This is coming from a person who worked As a production designer in theatre, film and television for over 30 years – the detail and subjective design decisions that you have made make this piece of work that you’ve undertaken both individual, Yet so linked to the Star Wars universe. Also, the story that you have presented, both the uniqueness of it, and yet from a script perspective, again very linked (very very linked) to the Star Wars universe that we all know. Well in love. The “DIRECTION” also stands out as “an almost less is more approach?” - which seriously highlights the clandestine? nature or subject? that you have pursued in the script, story etc. I would have loved to have seen the executed storyboards if you went in that direction prior to production and the shooting. I SO I look forward to “hopefully” - as the budget of what I’ve just watched, must have been high - having the opportunity to see more of your work online. Thank you so much.

Kudos to the entire cast and crew for bringing this Star Wars story to life. Well done!

its actually cool to see a realistic side of the fighting, like evacs and human emotion regardless of which faction they are fighting for

I was at the screening in Midleton Cinema today and loved the double bill. These episodes feel right at home in the Star Wars universe. Fantastic balance between emotion and action. Once again proves how Ireland and Star Wars are a perfect match. Well done Micheál and all involved, had a fantastic time!

The acting was well performed and the blending of CGI with natural scenery was very well done. I definitely look forward to the next episode.

Am going to say I watched the first one yesterday and now this one today.. I would like to comment on them even though I am only under 4 mins into this one...Is refreshing to see something a bit darker and less comical. Especially with Stormtroopers... People tend to forget because of the other movies that Stormtroopers are not idiots and fools.. The Empire did not get as big as it did from the buffoonery presented in the movies.. The formation and the continuation of the Empire should have always been a dark and foreboding item... The fact you brought what should have been in the original movies is a welcome change and very refreshing...The Empire was cruel and ruthless and foreboding.. They were harsh and relentless... that is why a rebellion was born...It was an age of darkness and cruelty... Or could it have been an age of enlightenment? Love the alternate POV of this universe presented here. Great work !!!!!!!

I’m gonna take a wild stab in the dark and say this was filmed on the Emerald Isle. That was very enjoyable.

Finally. Stormtroopers and imperial; officers portrayed as humans not incompetent cannon fodder soulless buffoons. Love this so much. Especially with the Imperial Officer and her family moment. Like come on Disney, these people are STILL humans at the end of the day. They have emotions too despite many in high command having soullessness
