Ah, my Friendly Local Comic Shop had a Heroclix night. Showed up years after it had started. Bought some sets just to collect them at first, not to play. The first time I played, some of the guys gave me about 300 figures (duplicates, triplicates they had) and I was shocked. They said "Hey, when get a huge collection, and you will soon, and somebody else is coming into the game, give them a bunch of your extras". After about 2 months, I got second place in a tournament. Got a Reed Richards. Won a Bruce Banner a couple of weeks later. Still got 'em. But now, with Covid, no more game nights. Hopefully, in the future.

Here's a tip. If you're looking for a case to put them in, I use clear tackle boxes with removable dividers. I've been using those since the very first set back in like '02 lol
  • Me and my friend started last March. And having some one to get in to the game with helps so much. Just being able to have matches where we are both looking up ruels. the whole time and not playing in a tournament setting. And even if your learning from a vet don't be afraid to look up a ruel u don't know most people are patient with new people. We want more people to play the game with.

I've got a bunch of dc hypertime figures that I've been holding onto since I was a kid. I feel old...

Always gonna suggest new players to try to find the local community, loads of veterans have plenty of extras to share, looking forward to life getting close to normal, although suspect it'll be another year of masks, but hopefully some safe gameplay as well.

I'm a New player (Month 3). Started with the Fantastic 4 Starter and been learning since. (FF is some of my best Clix when playing now also🤣 they're so good). Now I'm just waiting to go out and do my first casual match......and for Hox set

Toughest thing for me is finding a place to play :/ I'm scared to drop cash even if the figures are cool if i won't be able to play with them. I wish they would advertise this game like if they added a HeroClix commercial before a related movie I'm sure the game could explode.

I think its great doing these videos so hopefully new players starting now or near future have something. When I started there were no good starter boxes and I only wanted to play TMNT at that time so I printed off rulebook and ability book. I wish it was something that could be ordered by the store or something. I think the FF one is the best due to the long term playability of the models, the scenerio along with the other good starter stuff in there. That Doom and Surfer are awesome. I'll check into it sometime soon but does Roll20 have casual play on it? or practice play? And I remember hearing online about having to own the minis that you play with? I've not finished this video due to work. But will.
  • I have a big collection, super rares, colossals, etc. but I’ve never played.
  • i used to play a long time ago. i was involved enough to understand how to make customs, and i saw the dials and click rings change and i saw them start using ability cards, so i know a bit about what they've changed a lot and how team abilities work differently. well, i understand that they work differently. but i was never meta before and i'd like to get meta now. my budget is I'm willing to buy back in starting with whatever the best Galactus and Anti-Monitor are, I like characters that debuted before the 80s and stories that happened between the 80's and 90's. what products do people recommend to crash course me, and knowing my general gaming addiction to custom things up, what is the best place to find custom dial makers? (i always loved the old Parallax sculpt and hated that his dial wasn't as powerful as Galactus) I think that's everything. :) ironically as all heck, i pretty much stopped trying to keep up with what i used to know approximately with the Lantern sets because I like Pre-Geoff-con Parallax more than Emotional Spectrum even though Atrocitus and Larfleeze are good characters

I didn't get a starter set but i do have characts and a few cards for my characters that i got at green dragon and i want to learn because it was given to me for free and if i can learn to play it i will because it seems like it might be fun
  • On some Wonder Woman 80 character cards there are multiple KO areas. ie. Wonder Woman #017. Could you explain to me what you think that means? how to use the character?
  • @TheJtw0006
Is there a way to search for trait/special abilities online? Like “shifting focus” etc
  • @Mr.Bassman
Hey, I just bought the Marquee Thor at my local shop recently and am considering getting into the game. I see he has 2 points values 250/150 and am curious how that works? If you are familiar with this figure, does it perform well in game? Also, when buying a booster brick with 8 packs in the package, is it possible to get duplicates or are they all going to be different within that brick? Thanks for the great video, appreciate the clear explanation
  • @bobbybero7452
Are there any regional/national tournaments or just worlds?
  • @KaijudoMaster11
I see WWE Heroclix and I took a look at the power and abilities card... how do powers come into play if you use normal WWE people. Do they have super powers in the game too?
  • What is a great starter kit to start with in 2022? Brand New heroclix player. Great video BTW
  • @MrGrey-iq4ie
Can you use much older Heroclix with the newer ones? I'm an older player looking to return.
  • @paulcoy9060
Check out Amazon "Heroclix Brick", some older sets are cheap, Invincible Iron Man is about 60 bucks. Mighty Thor is way too expensive right now, can only buy singles.
