My favorite thing about this competition is when the chef says “don’t add this” and it cuts to the guys adding it.

Keith accidentally kneading his dough properly via repeated trips through the pasta maker is just incredible

So glad Rachel gave the guys safety precautions for the lye water. Can just picture one of them drinking directly from the container! 😂

I love how the third judge started out saying that any ramen made without lye water wasn't ramen and then just accepted that any passable form of noodles was ramen lol

Keith accidentally making decent noodles because him taking so long let the dough sort-of rest is one of the funniest twists in this episode 😂

while everyone else kinda played it safe, I love how kwesi immediately just went for DICKS IN A BOWL and I think that really embodies the chaos of earlier seasons when none of them knew anything and I just love that, ty kwesi ❤

It really tells you how much they've all grown that ZACH is somehow the voice of reason in a kitchen space

So excited to be a part of this new season, WAR is one of my favorite shows of all time to film! I was excited for last season because the guys have actually started to get fairly good at cooking/baking... but now there are new contestants and... I dont know what to expect... Here we go... wish me luck!😅

Coincidentally or not, Keith making duck soup with scallions is reminiscent of a famous Japanese proverb: “a duck comes bearing scallions” (鴨が葱を背負って来る) which means “a stroke of good luck” or “things becoming more convenient”. How apt, considering he managed to win the first Without a Recipe episode of the season, and while making a Japanese dish to boot.
